I can understand why people believe OJ was guilty. But anyone that says he should have been convicted is

A. a fool
B. wants attention
C. doesn't know anything about the case

The real issue isn't whether he was "guilty" or "not guilty". The question being debated is whether he got away with murder.

It did make for some comical and interesting TV for a couple a months. Between characters like Cato Calen, Mark "the racist" Furman and some of the other clowns you almost forgot that two people were tragically murdered.

The circus after they "loosed" the Juice was pathetic. Watching the black community embracing him and welcoming him back to the hood was heart warming. Even more ridiculous was watching some of the black females with tears in their eyes after the verdict forgeting the guy was a an abusive, jealous, nutty husband at best.

The craziest thing is the Juicer actually thinks he didn't do it. I think he could really care less that he took two lives. OJ is just pissed he can't get can't put together a foresome of his old wealthy white friends for a round of golf. He can't get a Country Club membership or a decent table at his favorite restaraunt. He can't get a freebie anywhere because all the jock snifers no longer look at Juice the football player he is now OJ Simpson the murderer.

Dicky: Not as a contradiction to what you said, cause it's true, but OJ has been living here in S Fla for the past years and he has no trouble at all getting a great table at his fave restaurant. I have personally seen him get star treatment 3 times. The most memorable was at the clubhouse at Gulfstream racetrack a couple of years ago. Not only did he get a top flight up front table there, but they also closed off all of the tables around him. Now, I really don't know if he requested this or they did it for security reasons, but it was a busy day and we were waiting for a table for an hour and never got it. Maybe I didn't grease the right palms, I don't know. But I sure would have liked one of those tables I was standing waiting for.
They also clear the tee times for him...........no one goes in front or behind for at least a hole and a half.

Here are some interesting facts:

Criminal Trial Evidence

DNA analysis of the blood found in, on, and near Simpson’s Bronco revealed traces of Simpson’s, Nicole’s, and Ronald Goldman’s blood.

DNA analysis of bloody socks found in Simpson's bedroom were proven to be Nicole’s blood.

Simpson’s hair was found on Goldman’s shirt even though Simpson claims to have not been at the house and to never have met Goldman.

DNA analysis of blood on the left-glove, found outside Nicole Simpson's home, was proven to be a mixture of Simpson’s, Nicole’s, and Ronald Goldman’s.

The gloves also contained particles of Goldman’s hair and carpet fibers from Simpson’s Bronco.

Officers found arrest records indicating that Simpson was charged with the beating of his wife Nicole. Photos of Nicole’s bruised and battered face emerge. Simpson was sentenced with 3 years of community service for this crime.

Police discovered the dome light in the Bronco had been removed. A search of the vehicle revealed the light was carefully placed under the passenger seat and was in good working condition. Puzzling blood smears on the passenger floorboard indicate that Simpson may have purposely removed the light and placed it under the seat before the murders. Then, after the murders, he may have unsuccessfully tried to find it to put it back in the socket. Police on stakeouts routinely remove the dome lights from their vehicles to avoid detection when the car doors are opened.[citation needed]

It was discovered that Nicole had one set of keys to her home missing. She had indicated to several family members and friends that she feared Simpson had stolen them to gain entry into her home. The keys were later found in Simpson’s home.

Paula Barbieri indicated that she had broken up with Simpson the day of the murders. She indicated he seemed very disturbed at the news. Phone records proved that Simpson attempted to contact her shortly before the murders from his Bronco’s cellular phone.

The left-hand glove found at Nicole’s home and the right-hand glove found at OJ’s home proved to be a match.

They also proved to be Simpson’s size. Even though Simpson claimed under oath that he did not own a pair of Aris Isotoner gloves, several media pictures emerged showing Simpson wearing these exact gloves.
The bloody footprints are quite easily identified as being made from a pair of Bruno Magli shoes. These shoes are quite expensive and extremely rare.[citation needed] The size 12 prints match Simpson’s shoe size. Simpson claimed under oath that he did not own any such shoes and in fact indicated that he thought they were "ugly." A photograph was introduced showing Simpson wearing the exact shoes at an NFL football game. Simpson claimed under oath that the photo is a forgery and is backed up by an expert witness. Later, another photo, taken by a different source, also showed Simpson wearing the same shoes at another NFL football game.
Friends and family indicated that Nicole was quite consistent in her claims that Simpson had been stalking her. She claimed that everywhere she went she noticed Simpson would be there, watching her. She was afraid because Simpson had already told her he would kill her if he ever found her with another man.[citation needed]

Ross Cutlery provided store receipts indicating that Simpson had purchased a 12 inch stiletto knife six weeks before the murders. A replica of the knife was purchased by the police and provided an exact match to the wounds on Nicole and Ronald Goldman.

The Jury By Race: 9 Blacks, 1 Hispanics, 2 Whites
The Jury By Sex: 10 Women, 2 Men
The Jury By Education: 2 College Graduates, 9 High School Graduates, 1 Without Diploma

Some other facts about the final jury:

(1) None regularly read a newspaper, but eight regularly watch tabloid TV shows,
(2) five thought it was sometimes appropriate to use force on a family member,
(3) all were Democrats,
(4) five reported that they or another family member had had a negative experience with the police,
(5) nine thought that Simpson was less likely to be a murderer because he was a professional athlete.
The racial composition of the initial jury pool differed considerably from the racial composition of the final jury. The pool was 40% white, 28% black, 17% Hispanic, and 15% Asian.

OJ wasn't tried by a jury of his peers, his peers were rich white folks that lived around Brentwood

If these shoes are so rare, how did Simpson get a pair? Did he shoplift them?

Fascinating. I wonder why the prosecution never mentioned that during the trial.

Presto, it was. Everything listed above was introduced as evidence in the criminal trial.
I've said it before, this jury wasn't going to convict. If anyone thinks this verdict wasn't about race they are mistaken.

The only mention of a Ross Cutlery knife was at a preliminary hearing.
The following week, Shapiro delivered a brown envelope containing the knife Simpson had purchased one month before the murders.

BTW, the verdict was not about race. The not guilty verdict was the only logical conclusion one could come to after seeing all the evidence.

Really dont think it was a matter of if he did it or not. We all know he did. This case was about the process of our law system. The steps it takes to prove ones quilty and the steps to prove theres reasonable doubt. He happened to be a famous football star with a famous lawyer star which are two dangerous combinations for a killer. This is why everytime a big name superstar gets in legal trouble, I know they wont go to jail for any serious time. Vick will not spend a min in jail. Kobe will not, Lewis will not. Snoop Dogg will not. and all the others to come. Melo will not.

Yep, you guys have all said it. The proof is overwhelming and everyone knows at this point, he did it. Ten years after, in 2004, OJ said "he gave up" pursuing the "real killers". I guess by that time, he figured his charade was over and most people saw through it by then.

The case was a circus and turned out not to be about 2 people being murdered but about a black man beating the system. Unfortunate for the Browns and Goldmans.

I remember that night in Vegas when that all went down. NLV had a mini riot too. They burned down a few buildings. One grocery store went up in flames and a rioter got caught inside as I remember. The cops set up a barricade near downtown so the riot wouldn't spill over. I was working that night as a cab driver and company I worked for pulled all NLV cabs from working that area after the verdict. OJ obviously did it. Interesting how two lawyers involved with freeing OJ now dead.

Nah....come on Illini...

OJ doesn't believe he's innocent.

9 of the jurors were black so they don't give a rat's ass on guilt or not.

Good point. Even the jurors deep down believed he did it. They just wanted to give an F U to the justice system that they believe has been unfair to the black community.

One other thing, correct me if Im wrong, but wasnt a juror dismissed early on for accepting a bribe? Either that, or the prosecution leaked that into the press it seemed. I cant remember the incident, or timeframe, but if that happened, what influence would that have on the remaining jurors? They had to know about it.

Im sure the thought at least crossed their minds that this trial could be a very big payday, if the verdict was "right".

Remember OJ leaning forward on that table, and looking straight at the jury as the forewoman read the verdicts? When he mouthed the words "thank you"......and his body language said........"whew, man we owe these mo-fos, they saved my ass"

Little different story in civil court , however, but who cares, thats what bankruptcy courts are for. Nice fellow :missingte
