The fact that he set the one game rushing record doesn't mean shit. The last two guys to hold it were Corey Dillon and Jamal Lewis, great backs, but not all time greats. Peterson will probably end up in their class when all is said and done - nothing wrong with that. Too bad everyone in Minnesota was too busy casting his H.O.F. bust to notice.

Peterson is expected to seek a deal worth $4 million to $6 million per year.The Raiders could have some concerns about Peterson’s durability. He played in only three games last season and had surgery on his right knee to repair a torn meniscus. In 2014, he spent all but one game on the commissioner’s exempt list after landing in the middle of a child-abuse controversy.Oakland’s young, up-and-coming team and star-studded offensive line is especially attractive to Peterson.The Raiders appear willing to let Latavius Murray leave via free agency — the 27-year-old plans to visit the Seahawks — which would create an opening for Peterson.But as of Thursday night, Peterson had not revealed any plan to visit Oakland.
