The fact that he set the one game rushing record doesn't mean shit. The last two guys to hold it were Corey Dillon and Jamal Lewis, great backs, but not all time greats. Peterson will probably end up in their class when all is said and done - nothing wrong with that. Too bad everyone in Minnesota was too busy casting his H.O.F. bust to notice.

LT...

Westbrook 2nd..

AP 3rd... AP runs to straight up for my tastes. O-Line is much better than the first twos as well.

Peterson a much better RB than LT and of course way more powerful.

Idiotic statement. LT has been doing it for years while AP has done good for what a 3/4 season?

LT is better than anyone in the league and will have all the records when he is done. LT all the way baby.

I would take SJax and Gore over him next year too. Both will have big years.

this will be a fun thread to bump up next year...

Fantasy Football-wise, it is safe to say he will be drafted 4-5 spots higher than his true value in 2008, unless they get a qb and a go-to WR. Not dogging the guy, but he's not God either.

We'll see, I think you're wrong. I got called out for taking him "too early this year", if I have the chance I'll do the same next year.

FW, we can make a friendly wager if you like. I will take AD for $100 each to have more rushing yards than Gore and Jackson next year, assuming all three are healthy to start the year.

12-1-13: CONGRATS ON 10K yards--

Peterson's fifth career 200-yard game helped him surpass 10,000 yards for his career in just 101 games, third fastest to do it behind Eric Dickerson and Jim Brown.

http://www.lindyssports.com/nfl/article/headline/no-immediate-move-from-rb-peterson/433304/ HEADLINENo immediate move from RB PetersonSports XchangeMarch 09, 2017 at 6:19 pm.The start of the new NFL league year came Thursday afternoon, and there was no shortage of bombshells, signings and head-scratching moves. While many players quickly reached agreements, former Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was in no hurry to find a new home. After the Vikings decided not to pick up his option, which made Peterson a free agent, it was widely assumed he wanted to finish his career with a contender. And according to multiple reports, there are just a handful of teams that fit the bill for the future Hall of Famer: the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders.USA Today reported Wednesday that the Seahawks were not interested in signing the 31-year-old seven-time Pro Bowler, who will be entering his 11th season. The St. Paul Pioneer Press has reported that Peterson is interested in joining quarterback Tom Brady in New England but that the Patriots weren’t all that interested in Peterson. That leaves the Raiders, who according to ESPN are interested if the price is right. Peterson is expected to seek a deal worth $4 million to $6 million per year. The Raiders could have some concerns about Peterson’s durability. He played in only three games last season and had surgery on his right knee to repair a torn meniscus. In 2014, he spent all but one game on the commissioner’s exempt list after landing in the middle of a child-abuse controversy.Oakland’s young, up-and-coming team and star-studded offensive line is especially attractive to Peterson. The Raiders appear willing to let Latavius Murray leave via free agency — the 27-year-old plans to visit the Seahawks — which would create an opening for Peterson. But as of Thursday night, Peterson had not revealed any plan to visit Oakland.
