My most humble thanks for ALL the RX posters that have responded to this thread. I have personally met and gotten to know many of the guys that have posted in this thread. Thanks for the encouragement from them and to others that I have yet to meet. I also like to thank that no one has called me a stupid bastard, of which I am.:lolBIG:

The money can be replaced but the trust cannot. For me it has been the worst of times with Pinny closing to Americans, Neteller doing the same, and some books slow paying or no paying. The best of times is the Florida Gators winning the CFB and CBB National Champoinships. At least I am still on the green side of the grass and hope to see ALL of you guys at the Bass. :103631605 :toast:  LT

Well thanks for the $3,025.00 that you paid to get the scumbag degenerate off this board.

At least he;s not posting anymore as that would be more or less rubbing it in your face.

The worst part of people like this is that they are so sincere at the time and then they pull this shit and you felt they were soild.

Then they make a complete chump out of you.

People can blame it on degenerate gamblers but there are plenty of gamblers who actually pay their debts. The truth of the matter is this kind of thing happens in all walks of life, within families, between friends, between co-workers, employers and employees and natrually between strangers we encounter on any kind of forum, it is the nature of lending money and the evil it somtime carrys with it.

I tended bar for years in the same place and natrually became friends with many many regulars over the years and I found out the hard way the easiest way to lose: 1st. a customer for your employer and the revenue he generated, 2nd a friend (to some degree) to yourself, and 3rd. a good customer who usually tipped you OK which added to your weekly income, was to lend that customer money, you lost all of the above plus the loan money itself while your ex-customer did his drinking at your competition's place.

Coach Lt. You have my sympathy, I have been down that same road to many times to count anymore.

wil.

That bar story is so true. Seen it many times also.

The worst thing, for me, about lending money to friends is that even if they do pay you back, they then look at you as a bank/ credit card company. You then become a tool/crutch to them and no longer a friend and in most cases they will be back for more.

Trust me, this isn't the first time Insiders has pulled a stunt like this and it won't be the last. People with no conscience find it easy to live their lives dishonorably.

Man this thread is really sad. Abusing someone's trust at any time, but especially to the tune of $3025, is about as disheartening as it gets. Even gators don't deserve this :lolBIG:...very sorry to read this coach.

sorry to hear coach, hope to see you in August!
I thought long and hard about this post. It is not very pleasant to admit you trusted someone to be honorable to repay a wager that you made for them and then they don't pay.
This happened when I played Oklahoma-7 -121 to win the Fiesta Bowl. In talking to Insiders after making the play he asked if he could have $2500 laying 3,025 on part of my Oklahoma play. I was hesitant but we had talked daily since the summer and I thought he would be good for it.
After the game I finally reached him a week later and he gave me a story about him and some others got caught in a bad situation and he said his cell phone was going dead. The connection was lost.
Many calls were made in the following months with messages left but no return calls. 2 nights ago Insiders finally called to tell me he was NOT going to pay his loss because I shut him out of playing the second half of the game to try to get out of the trap. I told him that story did not pass the smell test and if he was screw me to just tell me. He said that I did not give him a chance to get even and therefor he was not going to pay me.
I was stupid in making the play for him in the first place and it will cost me so think twice about doing it yourself. Like I said earlier, it is hard to admit you were a chump, especially when you know better. LT

How can a guy on a message board seem like a stand up guy?

You have to look a mfr in the eye to really see what they are about.
how can a guy on a message board seem like a stand up guy?? whalewagerer, the only post ive read so far, that made a lick of sense,,what totally fks me up,is when posters describe another poster as 'classy',honorable, etec etc,,what they dont get is this, some people are masters at influencing the way other people perceive them,in real life, they are con men, psychopaths, etc,,,im talkin percentages,of course, not everybody....what kind of a human being, would get on the internet, and ask a person he has never seen,to make wagers for him,at best,he is either stupid or irresponsible.

keyword is ACT,the nicest, the only people who are nice all the time, are people with a motive, to be nice all the time, human beings, who are being themselves, have a bad day,and go off on their friends and loved ones, its very normal, when i encounter anybody who is being tooo nice,i wouldnt trust them as far as i could throw them, why in th hell, would nybody be nice, all the fkn time?...money,sex,etc

It is truly amazing how lending money to people can cause so many problems. I have been amazed when I have lent money that I have to ask for it back, and am made to feel like they are doing me a favor by paying me back. It is just a bad practice to lend money in most all situations. That is what banks are for.
Sorry for your situation Coach.

I am suprised that I havent seen any post mentioning about finding insider and maybe beating the 3k out of him. Shouldnt be too difficult to find out his address and whatnot. Usually you dont even have to give the beating, the scare is all you need.

Of course you could always go the soprano's rout and poor battery acid on his foot

i see the most recent post has lightly touched what I'm getting ready to say.

Coach, it looks like you already know his phone number, are you not entertaining the theory of tracking him down for it at all ?

i dont know coach but he doesnt seem the type to track down a guy over 3 dimes....im sure he is hurt because he trusted but what good is it gonna do for him to try and track the guy down?

this aint the fn mob people...if it went down like coach said it did and im sure it did...insiders should man up and pay his share...im sure coach feels like he did what he could do by outing him here...

leave well enough alone...lesson learned
