I hate to fly and avoid it whenever possible, though it is tough with family all over the country. Its not really a rational fear.. I've always likened it to it taking to same personality to honestly believe they can win a 15-team parlay or the lotto, as it does to at least believe "I could be involved in the 1 in a million plane that crashes".
Plus I just enjoy driving.. I like my satellite radio and stopping when I feel like it and seeing the country. I know its not safer, but I'll take that risk for the enjoyment I get out of it.
