I understand your point about E=MC².

It’s true our digestive system isn’t unleashing the strong nuclear force.

My reference was more about illustrating that what we perceive as “solid matter” is ultimately energy in a different form.

As for my NDE (Near-Death Experience), it wasn’t a hypoxic hallucination.

I was fully lucid, aware, and experiencing a state that was more real than waking life.

Many others have reported the same including verifiable perceptions from outside their bodies during clinical death.

While natural selection shapes biology I believe consciousness itself is an even deeper layer of reality.

One that isn’t generated by the brain but only channeled through it.

Oxygen fuels the body but what fuels awareness is something far beyond chemistry.
