I am a big Dolphin fan and Ricky fvcked us. He could have announced this just a week earlier so we could have made a run at Eddie George. Ricky only thinks about himself, not the team. And don't think that moron Wannstadt didn't see this coming....there is an article in ESPN that he found out earlier than when it was announced in the media but tried to HIDE this from his bosses, the GM and owner when he thought he could talk Ricky back into playing. Incredible.

Williams was already looking at no checks for the first 4 games this season. Many players hate training camp and will go to great lengths to avoid the brutal twice a day practices. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ricky show up in late September saying sorry I was wrong, and want to play. He will still have to pay the 4 game checks, but after that will be able to collect whatever pay he can bargain, assuming he passes any future tests.

I think the man is genuinely ill or sick. He wasn't seeing a doctor for a bad cold. It's way to easy for us to sit on the sidelines and make judgements. I know a little from personal experience.

the guy is eccentric, no doubt about it. I keep hearing people generalizing, trivializing his decision as merely a choice to smoke pot over playing football. Come on, before you make a judgement at least read the freakin newspaper?! there's obviously more to this story than just pot smoking. I would guess that yes, it was partly a knee-jerk reaction to the news that he would be suspended for a portion of the season for a failed drug test, and after taking some time to get his head straight maybe he will come back next year.
