Conersvatives and progressives can argue about where that line is all they want, it’s so subjective and value-based.

I think the bottom line is that it’s pretty pathetic to let Kerr’s comments bother you, and clearly influence your thinking about the series as a whole and his coaching job. Clearly that’s what’s going on here.

Go listen to each coach’s press conference after a loss and seriously tell me you’d rather have serial playoff choker Mike D’Antoni than two-time champion Steve Kerr.

Can't believe I typed out that post about Kerr's coaching only to have this moved to the poli forum or rubber room. Man that was really dumb of me.

Jesus christ.

How was the officiating atrocious? Because they finally called Harden for the offensive foul he commits every fucking play?

not my intention, I really started the thread because I thought his laughing, smiling, giddy behavior after game 5 was kinda silly

PS: "I'm happy with where we are", essentially happy his team gave away home court advantage. Said with a smile and laughing.

Yes, he was giddy, no other adequate description, and under the circumstances, his behavior was just plain stupid

does that bother me? Haha, no, I kinda laugh at stupid behavior and asinine political statements, and I get to laugh a lot nowadays

I think he knew that there was a good chance CP gonna have a tough time playing again in the series after the injury. Easy to be nonchalant when the guy who was the other teams best player in their back to back victories over you isn't gonna be out there anymore.

His rotation usage at times in this series has been stupid. But with arguably the greatest team ever, he has to be confident in his team even when down 3-2; especially when he knows the choking history of the Houston Rockets.

The homecourt advantage thing was never a big deal. Houston wanted it more and got it; Golden State basically took a nap during the regular season.

I guess i see your your point in that he shouldn’t be happy with the results, but there’s no reason not to be confident in the Warriors.

As for the political stuff, I’ll keep that to myself from now on

He was very happy with where the Warriors were after the first quarter, down 6

After the game, he was very happy with where the Warriors stand in this series, down 3-2 after losing 2 straight (maybe he knows CP3 is out :))

He's all smiling and happy and giddy about losing 2 straight and being down 3-2, kinda funny looking if you axe me

And he says the NFL owners telling their players they have to stand for the Anthem or stay in the locker room is incredibly stupid.

Does anyone know if he's losing his mind? Has he seen a doctor about this condition?

He doesn't look so dumb NOW, does he, Genius?:nohead::think2:<:)<:)Slapping-silly90))popcorn-eatinggifkth)(&^Loser!@#0azzkick(&^

Golden State plays five minutes of good basketball per game it seems like, and it's usually good enough to win. They're just that good

birds of a feather flock together, doesn't take long to figure out who's not worthy sometimes, and you're judged by the company you keep

some people think he should be happy and giddy to gave up home court advantage, whatever

I wonder why other coaches say stupid stuff like we need to rotate better, we need to communicate on defense, we need to stay in our offense, we need to trust our system, we need to rebound.......... ?

Don't they know they're panicking and thinking it's over when they stay that stuff? What they should say is "I'm happy with where we are" . It's awesome baby

The idiot in this series was Mike D’Antoni, as usual. He could’ve won this game if he told his team to attack the basket. Nope. They just kept chucking 3’s and fittingly went 0-27 over one stretch. Kerr was having his team stay home (wisely), yet the Rockets predictably kept shooting rushed and ill-advised 3’s because their stupid analytics math equation told them to.

D’Antoni, the true coaching idiot in this series, will never sniff a championship.

I think after the first 10 times they attacked the basket and didn't get any calls in the 3rd quarter that they kinda realized that wasn't going to be much of an option in the 2nd half.

I fell asleep at halftime, but when watching the highlights I think they said GS made 13 straight 3 point attempts, while Houston missed 21 straight? Something like that

Houston shot something 8 of 42 for the game, including 0-9 on uncontested 3's. That's worse than the C's pathetic shooting performance Sunday night, when they also shot anemic from 3 including missing their last 11 uncontested 3's.

Just can't win those games. At least the C's can blame it on youth and inexperience. It's becoming a pattern for the Rockets

L5Y, USC is 4-0 vs SEC, outscoring them 167-48!!!

Kerr used Bell, Looney and Livingston to wear out Hardon. The rest of the role players ran outta gas. Hell HOU only ran 6 players anyway. No fkin way HOU could keep up that pace w/o Paul.
Props to Gordon though. He kept em in it as best he could.

Dubs dispose of the Cavs in 5 in order to celebrate at home.

Yeah it was awful. Golden State made 13/23 3's over the stretch that Houston went 0/27 from the 2nd quarter to the 4th quarter, and Houston went 7/44 for the game.

Houston is a boom or bust team, especially without Cp3. They were stubborn as hell in this game. Golden State was daring them to attack the basket, which gave them success in the first half, but the Rockets pulled a classic choke job and continued jacking them up, led by choke-commanders Harden and D'Antoni.

Houston fans are of course going to point to a few missed calls, but they lost this game because they couldn't make a shot and stopped playing defense. Golden State was getting easy looks and whipping Houston's ass in the second half.

Golden State should've won this series in 5-6 games. This is the deepest in the playoffs D'Antoni will ever get, and deservingly so.
