If You Were Out With Your Girl & Approached By A Group Of Thugs with nobody else around, and they proceeded to cause trouble by surrounding you & your partner, touching and making lewd remarks to her, which scenario would you choose?

A. Stand up to them telling them to leave her alone & not touch her, even if you know that it could worsten the situation & they end up hurting both of you.

B. Play it cool & try to pursuade them nicely, hoping that they will eventually let the two of you go.

Either choice could be a losing proposition.

If you choose A, you are taking a huge risk & more than likely they are going to do some serious damage to yourself, and then no telling what they will do to her as well.

If you choose B, even if they let you go, your girl will probably never think the same of you since you didnt try to stand up for her when they were touching her & being obscene. Even though you know you made the right decision in being calm, most females probably won't see it the same way & will think you were a wuss and/or claim that you don't care enough about her to try to intervene when they were pushing themselves onto her.

P.S. Thugs Means any group of troublemakers, regardless of ethnicity, so please don't even bring up the race card.

Happened to me once at the park. My mentality was that I'd rather get my face bashed in than have to face this chic after not standing up to them. Luckily for me it didn't turn physical as there were people around and maybe because they were all bark no bite.

They were making lewd comments and I told them to fuck off. We all exchanged words of profanity etc until they just took off swearing at me.

If it was in a dark isolated alley, I don't know. It's a tough situation man. You have to be smart in life and pick your battles. What's pride going to do if you end up dead? At the same time, how do you live with yourself if you plead with these thugs?

If it did ever happen to me in a dark alley, I hope I'd be packing.

I have thought about this scenario as well.

It makes it a more difficult situation for me becase I already have broken my nose twice and had to surgery twice. Under no circumstances can I break my nose again.

So I would have to opt for B and hope the woman understands.

Option C: Be like AJ Soprano and offer the thugs a brand new bike to just go away and leave you alone.

Seriously if they wer just some thugs or a bunch of punks talking loud because they were in a pack. I would confront them because I know mine or my girls life wouldn't be on the line. If it was gangbangers then I would have to play it cool because there is a risk of getting shot.

If I am in my car or work truck I run them over.

I steamrolled a couple of hoods in the projects in Detroit when they thought I would just give them everything. I said I will run you over. LOL they didn't listen.

Since you don't know if they are packing, but you know you aren't packing, option B is best.
I've had a gun pointed at my head before, and although it is definitely an adrenaline rush, its not fun at all.

Who else here has been held up at gunpoint? I'm not talking military related either.

Here in Korea they have a No Gun Law, even the majority of law enforcement only carry batons. I would think everyone here should have a gun in case the North ever came down. Even with this, I feel a lot safer here, than I would in a lot of those dangerous areas in most US cities. Shit, in Jeju, people still leave their front doors unlocked at night, can't do that in the US.

Anyway, when you ask the Koreans what are the bad areas to stay away from here, and not to sound racist but they say its the neighborhoods with Blacks. They put too much of those American tv shows on here (Cops, all the criminal videos) stereotyping African-Americans here too. Even the other day, outside a Family Mart Convenience Store, a Black GI, was trying to talk to a Korean, he even said up front to her, "I'm not going to rob you, I understand all the negative stereotyping, I'm just trying to be friendly" . And he was saying the absolute truth.

Wouldn't it be great, if there ever was a day, when people wouldn't be judged by the color of their skin, and people didn't stereotype others.

But back to the question, even if you opt for option A, and even defend yourself, if you use anything more than your hands- whether a knife or another weapon, if your hurt someone bad , you will have to prove you were in fear of your life or YOU can be charged with aggravated assault, and sometimes that doesn't even matter.

A few years back a GI, was getting his ass beat by another guy who was way bigger than he was, the fight went from a hallway to into a small bathroom, where the smaller guy fell backwards into a tub, the bigger guy was just pounding on his face and chest repeatedly. The smaller guy couldn't get up, and no one could get the guy off of him. The smaller guy pulled out a knife and stabbed him. The guy received numerous stitches for the knife wound. The smaller guy received several years confinement and a BCD, as he was charged with assault with intent to kill. The bigger guy who started the fight even testified on the GI's behalf at the guys court martial that if he didn't stab him, he probably would of killed him, it didn't matter.

The second one of them lays a hand on her is the second I start swinging. If anyone was ever anywhere with their girlfriends, wife, friends, etc and someone put their hands on them and you didn't help.... Then honestly your a bitch and if I was the girl being touched I would want nothing to do with you. What good is a guy if they don't stand up for their girl? Especially if these "thugs" are putting their hands on her. I could understand if you were walking by a group of guys and one of them said something. But there is no way anyone should ever let another person put their hands on your girl. End of story. Man up do what you have to do. If you have to get hit then get hit.

You know what? That really pisses me off. He defends himself and ends up getting punished.
