If I or we all were 100% sure, then I'd just as well put a gun to my head now and get it over with because what's the purpose if it all ends eventually anyhow? Just get it over with now and end what would seem to just be a tease & a cruel joke just living for a while & nothing afterwards.

My buddy and I have debated about something for a long time now.

He thinks if we just die and there's nothing afterwards & we don't know anything after that, that it's a peaceful thought.

In my opinion, dying and you being done for eternity is a terrifying thought....

It is meant to be so...by the the false Gods !

Reality is you fucking die, and you're as dead as the cat you had 20 years ago !

Just the way it is !

You think you're so important or something ?

First, I would wonder why I believed that I could be any more than 100% positive about anything, seeing as that should be the maximum.

Then,

1) No
2) No
3) No
4) yes.

Well said. If this is all their is, why try to ruin everyone elses existence by committing these henious acts?

To be fair science doesn't claim to know how life was created. All we have are theories based on what we do KNOW.

And curing the common cold would have no relation to knowing how life was created.

It's like the people who say "we can put a man on the moon but we can't cure cancer." One has nothing to do with the other.

But yes they are related.

Saying you know how life began, and how it ends, it as far out there and as bold as one can get.

It's basically saying they know everything.

We are in the PRESENT.
Here and now.

Yet they don't have answers for Millions of things.

But they have the answer to our beginning.............Laughable and just nonsense

Ok fine. Give me some references where science has stated they know how life began and how it ended. Nobody knows any of that. All we have are theories.

Are you religious? Cause this is the same logic they use.

I don't know what I am anymore to be honest.

I believe things evolve after long periods of time, but that doesn't mean something or someone couldn't have put us here.
I don't believe in evolution to the extent we started out as a molecule, then thousands years later grew a mouth, then thousands of years later grew an eye, then thousands of years grew an ear, legs, feet, a liver, an ass, a perfect reproduction system, and so on. Is it possible? Yes. But it's also so far-fetched that we could have had some help.

One religious scientist put it best......... Saying a big bang, or some other hard to imagine event created life, is the equivelant to saying a Tornado makes it's way through an airport junkyard, and when it exits, all of the pieces of planes are assembled back together perfectly, and not just that, so that they are running again. Impossible of course.
Kind of an off the wall comparison but we get his point.

I have mixed opinions on everything, but that really has nothing to do with idiotic scientists who think they know what happened hundreds of thousands, or millions of years ago.

I understand what you are saying, it's theories.
But, they usually state is as finding "New evidence on how life began"
That's not just opinion, they really believe in their findings and try to convince everyone else.

They change their mind every few years on so many things, yet, they are so sure what happened in the very beginning of life? A lot of their findings make sense of course, but they also believe in their beliefs so much they try to push them off on everyone else.....

Hahaha! Have you watched a series on the History Channel called Ancient Aliens?

It's people who believe we were put here by aliens and all that. It looks at various bible events from an alien perspective.

I believe Aliens could exist.

I don't understand how anyone could not think it's possible when space just goes on & on as far as we know.

And then you have the religous people who use the arguement that the Bible doesn't mention it.

It doesnt have to.
The bible says God created Earth & Life.
It doesnt have to include something else, somewhere else.

So I'm not sure why religious people don't think it's possible aliens could exist either.

Doug are you leaving? I wanted to ask you about Matchbook.

Are you still using them?

No , I busted out have no way to deposit to MB, have to break for awhile.

I'm not sure anymore, I'm gonna move to Florida or somewhere or Weitzner myself. I think I need Tommy John surgery after tossing a frisbee around with an 8 year old on dead soldier day.

Daytona beach area seems possible ?

Matchbook is the only book left to use, but I think I'm done ?

If nothing exists beyond nature, then :
1. Human beings are just an advanced primate.
2. The selfless caring individual meets the same inevitable end as the murdering psychopath or liar or selfish prick.
3. "Right" and "wrong" are just byproducts of social evolution, which pretty much sums up as a subjective illusion.

If those 3 things are true, there's really no reason not to behave immorally if it's convenient and you can get away with it.
