If you like New england buy it ASAP at 6.5

If you like Carolina, wait until right before the game and check out the square shops.

(and if you want the 7 middle/side do both of the above)

No reason to be buying points in this one..."he who hesitates is lost"...get your points for free when they are there for the taking

Is the 7 worth the buy...historically, yes...it is worth about 12 cents.

DANTE- THE GAME HAS ABOUT A 5.1-5.4% CHANCE OF LANDING ON SEVEN.

Having said that, calculate all the vig your laying on both sides and do the math.

There can be MANY different scenarios to your question, all depending on the vig your laying, and of course the number.

Say you laid -6.5 -110 and took +7.5 -110.......betting to win 100 on each.

In the above scenario, you would be risking 10 to win 200..........meaning you would have to hit the middle 5% of the time to at least breakeven. Well if you believe the game has a 5.3% of falling on seven based on historical data..........this would be a small win LONGTERM.

Jake had it Pats -6.5 Even on and off for the last day. It was moving like crazrt -6.5 -115, then -6.5 even. MIssed it the first time, but did get in at -6.5 even on the Pats ultimately. That might be a tough call if it goes to 7.5 by the kickoff.

IF the line ever moves to 7.5 (and I'm not sure many bookmakers -- be they in Vegas, offshore or "other" -- will be willing to set themselves up for getting middled like that), you had better be at the betting counter or viewing the move on your computer at that exact moment because it won't last long. It will be pounded back to 7 in no time.

In addition, I wouldn't be surprised if some books moved it to 7.5 that they start with Panthers +7.5 (-120) to make arbitragers pay a premium.

If I were booking this game, I would have opened -7 and never moved off the number the entire time......just adjust the prices.

Be in a conservative WIN-WIN-PUSH situation.

FISHEAD...I think that's what the Vegas books on the Strip planned to do as the Stardust, Caesars, Mirage, etc. opened the game at 7.

All the early money was on the Panthers, and though the temptation was to hold the line at 7, I think many of them got cold feet because of last year when all the early money came in on the Buccaneers and everyone said "that's fine, the late money will come back on the Raiders."

Well, it never really happened, so I think that forced their hand so that they didn't make the same mistake twice.

I would have gone to +7 -130 right then and there and then seen how brave the Panther bettors would have been.
