Right away if the QB came from a pro style offense and a well organized college program. If we are talking a Steve McNair type, that came from some shit program where they were drawing plays in the dirt, than you do exactly what the Titans did with him. He probably never held an actual playbook until he was drafted.

Really would depend on the QB and situation , some times a qb is ruined early on because of lack of support.
