They should be.... If their freaking special teams weren't so awful at the beginning of the year they would be undefeated right now.

LSU would have to lose. No way Michigan with 2 loses makes it in at #2, despite strength of schedule.

If USC and Lsu loses today, its going to be one big mess. The next best record is a two lost team, and their are several. I think because Texas will have a chance to improve their position if they win the Big 12, they will get the nod. Otherwise, Georgia, is next in line according to BCS rankings , if USC and LSU losses, and Then Texas goes down. Georgia is above Michigan in the BCS rankings. But I'm only guessing so I am most likely wrong.

USC will play Oklahoma for the National Championship. Southern Cal just went up 14-0 and they can put up 60 points today if they want to. These are clearly the two best teams in the country.

Well the point is, they lost one game & to a an average Cal team. They should have destroyed Cal & taken care of business but they didn't. LSU should get the nod if they win out as they play in a better conference, would have a championship game win in their pocket, etc....

I don't need or want your respect. You are buying into a hype machine. USC is overrated imo. They play in a conference that is way down this year & their schedule is a joke. The 2 impressive wins they had don't even look impressive anymore as Auburn has a bunch of losses & WSU already has 3 & probably will fall out of the top 25 if not barely stay in it.

Well, the long and short of it is that USC will probably be in the Sugar Bowl as a 6-7 point dog to Okla, unless they lose to Ore State [unlikely].

We have the old strength of sched deal again.

LSU should not schedule La Monroe, La Tech, and W. Ill, if they want to play for the NC.

I think that LSU is probably as good as USC, or close to them. But the fact is that USC did not schedule patsies. Their non-conference schedule was Auburn, BYU, Hawaii, and Notre Dame. Granted none of these teams were as good as they are normally, but SC didn't deliberately go out and schedule teams that they KNEW that they could beat, like LSU did.

That is a fact, and that is why the polls [not BCS have USC ranked over LSU].

Zip get the facts straight. LSU didn't orginally have some of these teams scheduled. Marshall & I believe one other team backed out on them.

Facts you don`t need no stinking facts!! You can control your non-conference gms, so LSU has no excuse for UL M, W Ill (not even Div 1)??? and La Tech for H/C. this is laughable. LSU has no claim if SC goes undefeated. If LSU & SC lose then watch out for Mich., w/Iowa & Or winning yesterday their strength of schedule took a leap. Go Razorbacks!!

Hello..................

It is a fact that Marshall & Troy State backed out on them. You make it sound like it is easy to just schedule games & they had to make up 2 not one. Those are the FACTS

LSU's strength of schedule will get better with ARK/SEC Champ game, they could jump USC, Wash St loss hurts USC, LSU could pick up a top ten win also.. Could happen..

BFD they lost Troy St, not exactly an improvement. Give it up, a shit schedule any way you look at it. Do I think Mich. should rank over LSU, at this time no! But it could happen, as I said in another thread w/Oregon & Iowa winning this past wkend ??? BTW LSU didn`t exactly cream Ole Misws.
