If Culpepper, Leftwich, & Possibly Jamarcus Russell Flop, What Makes Anyone Think Josh Freeman Will Make It?

....I would bet my last dollar each of them except Leftwich would be considered faster than most QB in the league. We all know what he was saying but it's good to come in and try and make it sound more respectful. Culpepper was one of the best running and passing QB when he played with Minnesota with good receivers.

Russell and Culpepper are not considered fast even by Qb standards.

Just because you are slow doesn't mean you can't run.

I wouldn't say Culpepper was a flop but he would have been without Moss. No doubt about it. He has done nothing since. Injury or not, that tells the story.

BTW, Moss was that guy who made a retired Randall Cunningham look like an MVP candidate in 1998 and made a college backup into a multi-millionaire.

So please cut the bullshit on Culpepper's "greatness."

Only the biggest moron gm's are still drafting black Qb's high in the draft. The 7-10 year phase where it was chic to draft black Qb's is nearly over. It's been an abject failure. For good reason black qb's were not trusted for so many decades to run a team....because the Qb should be the smartest person on the field. This is why they struggle so much when the heat is turned up i.e. post-season.....because it takes a more manifold mind to function under duress. It's clear smart teams are now loath to draft them high. When Russell, McNabb and Campbell are out of the league in 2-3 years....there may be 1 or 2 starting black qb's at that point. Sure Warren Moon and few other are exceptions from an intellectual standpoint....the bottom line is there are very few of them that have the smarts to really do something special.
