My prediction for the game is 45-27 New England. Nobody wants the Jags to be for real more than I do. Unfortunately we aren't there yet. It is a mirage guys. Don't get me wrong we have several talented players and match up well with several teams. New England isn't one of them. They are the worst matchup possible for us.

wow you guys are putting it high

I'd be very surprised to see it close over 10.5...I think it should be 8.5

as far as the total, I've been on Jax overs for a while, so I figure my guess is higher than your guess, but I'd say at least 51
8.5? you wanna be taking teasers with that line.....it will be over 10 for sure

Some of the totals being posted are higher than I thought. An O-U higher than 51 will most likely have me betting the U.

I am a season ticket holder which has seen every snap of Jackonville's games this year. If you look at the games in which we played any kind of a quality QB we have not fared well. The best QB's we faced this year were Peyton Manning twice (lost both games) and Drew Brees once and gave up 41 points and lost. Our secondary particularly safety is vulnerable. Mathis has had a poor year. Nelson makes a big play now and then but gives up one way to often. We are missing Mike Peterson, Marcus Stroud, John Henderson and Reggie Hayward are hobbled. The bottom line is we are not very good defensively. New England will shred us. Actually Tom Brady will shred us. I relish the opportunity to play them and hope for a miracle but if we win it will have to be 41-38 because we won't even slow down brady and company. We were able to get pressure on Roethlisberger with four guys. The Steeler line is pathetic. We will have to blitz like crazy to lay a finger on Brady. I have seen this dilemma before with this my team and a good QB and line. If we rush four they have all day and torch us down field. If we blitz they get the big play. My playoff game of the year is the Jacksonville/New England over 52?

Sharp post. There were Steeler WR's running free all over the field. If NE can protect Brady, they could exploit this.

Jay Kornegay, the Sportsbook manager at the Hilton was just on the radio here in Vegas and said He would put the line on Patriots/Jags at 101/2
Sounds likely line to me.

First of all, I NEVER take favorites!

I made the line -17 on the first post. Of course I am wrong, but if the line is even 1/2 point less than 13, then I will make the biggest bet of the year on NE and I NEVER TAKE A FAVORITE OVER -4 IN FOOTBALL

Dude wether you think so or not the Jags are for real. They have beat 4 teams that are in the playoffs 3 of them on the road and pitt twiceon the road. The first game with Indy Garrard goes down first series game over. The second game it was clear the Jaguars were the better team that day but did not pull it off as they were up against Indy and the officials. They got royaly screwed. Now I am not saying they can go up to NE and hold down the most prolific offense in nfl regular season history. But the Jags are for real. No doubt about it. You can not discount them.

Ne -17

Now I think that this will be the line, I dont expect the score to end this way though. If they make the line -20 or above, then everyone on earth would be betting Jacksonville. They want a perfect line for 50/50 action and -17 would do it

Kinda wish you owned a book...that number was ridiculous...17 would have gotten you all the Jags money you wanted...If you really think that 17 should be the line, maybe you will unload on New England...:drink:
