Ive been married over 27 years(second marriage) and like many have said, marriage is what you make of it. It's a team effort and there has to be plenty of trust and plenty of give and take to make it work well. My first marriage lasted just over 3 years and then I was single for 5 years before remarrying. I probably learned alot from my first marriage which helped make this one much better. I don't think anyone can give you a definitive answer as to whether you should get married or not, because everyone is different. I think the main question you need to ask yourself when trying to make a decision on marriage or not is this....
