were you any good?
Pretty good at baseball, played college too

Wasn't much of a football player, mostly just a blocking TE and hated DE. Just not much passing at that level so I was mostly getting beat to hell by a TE FB/pulling lineman double team. I could punt really well though.

I was pretty good at basketball.

3 year starter on Varsity on a solid team in the county.

Toughest games I've ever played were in Baltimore summer leagues.

Got a D3 ride but liked chasing girls and drinking too much.

Played against/with some future pros a few times.

Ever play the boys from Dunbar in the mid 80's?

Does getting a basketball thrown at me and double technical with Donyell Marshall mean anything? Became good friends with him to this day. Him and Bob Sura.....both quality guys.

Basketball and Mostly baseball.

Yep.....it's funny....the first time we played against him.....he came off the bench and wasn't very good.....we were calling him Manute for Manute Bol because of how tall and skinny he was. But even though he wasn't too good.....he was considered very highly for potential greatness.....I didn't see. Lol.....guess I was wrong on that one.....shortly after he was a top player in the country with offers everywhere.

yeah you got that one wrong....I did meet him for like 30 seconds once in HS as he accompanied Jim Calhoun and some others to Jim's son's HS game.

I couldn't believe how his game developed. He was not a great shooter but kept himself in the NBA by really developing a 3 point shot. He was immature even coming out of college....like most.....but some of his hanger on buddies were really bringing him down.....thankfully he got rid of those jerks. He's a solid guy.

1st team all region senior year in football, basketball, and baseball. Played QB, point guard, and pitched.

Voted the school male HS athlete of the year in 1993. Received the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame award that year as well.

Was good at all three in HS, but great at none. Never tried to specialize in any sport. Loved all three and just played the sport in season.

never played any sports in high school. in my area you could play almost anyone worth playing against at a public basketball court. plenty of quality tournaments year round too. schools like cherokee dominated the scouting and lot of the players went on to play d3 and d2. but would get cooked by me and my buddies on the regular.
