I buy and sell cards through the local auction houses in the Tampa/St. Pete area.
Been able to sell most of the junk I've accumulated over the years for much more than it's worth.
When purchasing, I buy in lots and break the cards up and sell them in sublots, this is the way to fairly easy money.
To answer your question, I still regard PSA as the leader in card grading. To be honest though, really haven't kept up that close on the industry to make this an absolute claim. In the timeframe of 5-10 years ago, they were certainly #1 in my book.
Getting back to buying in lots, bought a 200 card lot of Boggs cards on ebay for 7.80.........sold a 15 card lot of these for 20 bucks at the auction house (25% commission),so in theory I've got 185 different Boggs cards as gravy to sell at a later date.
You can flip some nice cards that way.
Where you are, BoSox and Yankees are king.
