If you can afford 2200 for a few months you'd be better off finding an apartment for around 800 and stick around for four or five months. For sure you'll find a job somewhere if you can hold out till football season, jreally you just have to walk the beat and do the door to door thing and try to make a good impression. Try to project just enough shadiness so people wont think you are a cop but not too much that they think you are going to run off with their player list.

It's unfortunate you had to quote me before i realized that not only did I spell your handle wrong but also used the wrong form of "to"! I honestly thought I was going to get away with that one without an incident. Doh!

$800 /month can actually get you a great place here. In fact you can pretty easily fine stuff for $500-$600 /month. I'd look in Rhromoser, Pavas, Sabana and Trejos for that price range.

It really depends on what part of town you'll work in though as commuting can be a bit of a bitch. Buses are decent and people on them are humble. They will certainly get you where you want to go but they take time to get around and don't run very late and have VERY limited hours on holidays.

If you apply at a few books you shouldn't have much trouble. The bigger ones might give you a hard time since you don't have papers so you'll probably want to stick with the smaller ones.

Next to impossible if I can throw my 2 cents in....you need papers in order to work and the salary would be beneath the Mendoza line...

You need references and I hear Costa Rica is cutting back on those 90 day in and out trips...

Good luck on beating those poker games...competition is tougher than you think...

VD is right... It's still possible but the question is for how long. They are cutting back on the 90 day trips. I hear more and more about people having problems at the border. If you really want to move down here you need to try and process your paperwork before you come and have a temp or permanent residency before even getting here. You could try it for 90 days. If you don't like then you leave or maybe you'll end up marrying a tica. Word of advice. The easy part is getting woman in this country the hard part is getting rid of them lol....

There are a lot of places that hire without papers, although the number is decreasing. If you're thinking of getting residency, do the things in the states first, so when u get here the process will go a lot faster.

A friend of mine used to do the 90 day hop in Nicaragua. Cheap and only a long bus ride away.

And I rent a 3 bedroom house for $550 in a nice neighbourhood. There are a million options, but it depends on where and what u want.

My advice to you is to start drinking heavily.

I can't keep up with Judge Wapner and the money he spends. I think he's Calvin Ayers's bookie.

You want to work in the Sportsbook industry, or work in Costa Rica? (those are far from the same goals)

Bring a bankroll and start your own business or affiliate business; inside or outside the sportsbook industry. That's the only way you've live well here.
