Is it because they try to control game times (mostly college basketball)? Have they become too 'gossipy'? Too arrogant?
Is it because their face, Chris Berman, went from a guy everyone thought was cool to a grumpy old man? It seems most of the people who worked for them do not have anything good to say about them, even though I assume they would pay pretty well. Me personally, I do not like the fact that they seem to be too gossipy...too much talk show bs. What do you guys think?

ESPN went from reporting the story to making/creating the story (the Tebow lovefest, Manziel, Michael Sam, LLWS).
If they don't have the rights to something, it barely causes a blip on their radar (NHL, Pac-12 until last year).
Their hosts all try to be the next Berman ans they all fail. Just report the damn news.
Also the Jimmy V Foundation, ESPY's - ESPN/Disney creations that are just forced on the public.
Disney morals are shoved down all the employees throats - they pick and choose what's right and wrong. Look at the recent Max Kellerman suspension for proof, yet hiring Ray Lewis is a good idea.
If its a story that is a conflict of interest - its not getting reported.

At least the 30 for 30 series is great.

Berman doing play-by-play on anything is horrible these days.........I liked him on NFL Primetime......That was about it........And baseball before the strike.

As far as ESPN they pay people to give their opinions and then suspend them if they don't like what they say......Then there is ESPN pushing an agenda, such as Soccer after the World Cup knowing full well most people that watch the World Cup and Euro aren't going to love Soccer over NFL, College Football, Hoops, and other sports and watch it regularly...........I like ESPN when they show live sports...........That's about it......
Who was that guy they fired that used to do college football and college hoops a lot play-by-play? Ron somebody.......Trying to remember why he got fired...I'll look it up now..

I agree with fair warnings assessment to a tee.
ESPN is almost unwatchable with all the PC bullshit.
Like last week making an issue about Mike Sam taking a fuckin shower...shut the fuck up! No regular everyday guy gives a fuck about the gay agenda bullshit.
Tell me the scores and who got traded.Don't tell me who I'm supposed to like and why and how I'm supposed to think like a left wing pablum puker.

These are a few of the experts who have graced the airwaves in the past 5 years. No one takes any of them serious.

I have a hard time getting 87.7, fades out about 5 miles down the lake from me. WGN owns 87.7 The Game.

WGN owns them? I thought it was a CBS radio affiliate? Where do you live? I am in Elmhurst right now... I grew up in the city in Logan Square.

Pretty much what Wellseasond and Fairwarning have said. They've strayed to far away from reporting facts to creating stories to drive agendas. There are times when they just make up facts to help drive a story.

Yup, its WGN ownership. They have a few ex-score employees there. I'm next to Warren Dunes, on Lake Mich.
