I know I must be a lifetime loser in horses, but it still remains a favorite viewing event of mine....nothing beats a day at the races with friends.....

Better chance to win at sports. The vig is only 5-10%. Horse racing makes a big deal when the take is only 15%. Lots of pools take more than 20%. You have to be much more patient when playing horses.

yes you have to be patient w/ the horses....

but you can't go there and bet EVERY RACE...you win lose...FOR SURE..

I study ALL the time....the night before...I go in w/ a plan...

ex....outta nine races...might play 5 or 6...not counting gimicks

I'll have my plays ready to fire....then check the board if there is some crazy

deviations from my cappin' ( ie..8-1...drops to 1-5 or goes to 15-1)..

but again...you need to pick and choose your races...


I'ts not easy but ....I love it...


just stay focused and be patient...


in the long run...you will lose much less....

The horses brought me to my knees litterally i have lost family and alot of my life to that game if you are not into it id advise stay far away ... Its like crack the high the next race... Imagine having a different sport game starting every minute every day ... You have to have some serious and i mean serious control to play the ponies nothing else can a inch cost you a change of life that you could be chasing until your dead or have lost the life you once had... Goodlu kSlapping-silly90)) i wish someone did that to me years ago at the track lol

the bad beats in horseracing are 100000 times harder and more frequent in horse racing...watch the replay of race 9 at oaklawn yesterday and imagine needing the #4 for a $700 score...now go back and watch blame winning the breeders cup triggering a $4000 score....this game will put you in an early grave...the cast of characters you meet and the unity among the degenerates are unique to horse racing..if your not in the game you just won't get it...

Having gone to the track for 35 years, and owning more than 100 horses over the years, I can tell you I am a patient bettor. And still, sports betting is a better proposition.

lol,,, any sport where I can RISK 20.00 and they will gladly pay me back 20.45 or lose?? haha,, FK that,, The payouts are just pathetic I dont know where the money goes? but whatever the RAKE is for the house is just KILLS any chance for the public to have any involvement,

does anyone know the kickback numbers? say 10 g is bet on a race, how much goes to house? then how much is given back to be divided among bettors?

very true, horse racing is para mutual which means you are competing against all the other betters. sports betting is against the house and has a [10%] vig. so racing should be easier to beat except the rake on the pools is so high, its extremely difficult to beat. exotics were 20+%
