as far as caring about the crooked jockeys.....I really dont.....those clowns along with the horse trainers and owners play the game....and milk the american public in the process

only 3 jockeys ive seen that were honest....as in I never seen them stand up on a horse or lose on purpose were.....

pincay.....stevens....and P Val.....the rest of em were all stiffs....jerry baily and pat day included....espescially pat day....I seen him run dead last on gentleman at odds of 1/20 in a 4 horse field....$900,000 to show.....and he ran off the board....fucking criminals

All NFL games are fixed. Just look at the Super Bowl when the Steelers beat Seattle. So is college basketball. People are losing their mortgages on office pools for March Madness. The American public thinks sports are honest but all officials and players are in on the scam.

I have seen Shaquille Oneill miss free throws on purpose. Referees have already admitted they cheated. Arod is a fucking criminal, he struck out on purpose when they Yankees were favored.

That makes about as much sense as what you just said above about jockeys and horse racing.

hey...I wont disagree with you about that pitt/sea game...you would have to be a idiot not to see that game was fixed

but these jockeys.....and these trainers....and these horse owners are the dirtiest cheaters known to gambling....dont EVER forget that

and you cant go to your local sportsbook and place a bet on "fixed" sports

but you can go to your local horse track and wager all day and night!! :dancefool

well as long as you show your SSI card to cash your winner over $600.....LOL

and if you dont think people are losing their house on horses???...lmfao...guess you never heard of a TVG account...interactive horse racing :missingte

people came in here saying "its part of the game..horses break down"

but thats not what I was talking about...lmfao

I was talking about how TVG and ESPN downplaying it....so people continue to bet their mortgage

and how the government invites people to bet their money on horses while the states takes out about 35% of the track revenue...not to mention any winnings that are federally taxed over 600-1

what Im saying is....the government says its aaa ooo kkk!!

even though these horses....living animals....are treated like throw away garbage

as far as caring about the crooked jockeys.....I really dont.....those clowns along with the horse trainers and owners play the game....and milk the american public in the process

I am impressed with opinions this thread where issues cut across gambling and concerns for humane care for animals. Though I have supported PETA for many years (most interest in lab experimentation -been there and seen it- and slaughterhouse regulation), I recently named Secretariat as one of my respected athletes and recognize the conflicts. I shovel my garden manure from a beautiful local horse farm and appreciate the the importance of the industry to Maryland. I enjoy wagering and watching races of all creatures regardless of the number of legs and applaud the previous posts that they highlight concern for welfare and respect for all sports participants from busted-knee offensive linemen to steroid olympic sprinters to paycheck $500 claimers being loaded on a trailer and shuffled to their fifth farm.
