Sorry, I just got in and saw this question. I did not have a lean on the total.
Despite taking an over early in the Ari/Mil series, I'm always very hesitant to take over in the playoffs especially this deep into it. Managers tend to keep pitchers on a short leash and do everything they can to keep the score low. With that being said, the over happens (like the grand slam walk off by Cruz yesterday) at times but I'm careful to play it.
Love this play tonight. The only play I've liked more in playoffs was Tigers in game 3 of ALCS. Thank god for the public perception of Chris carpenter or we'd have -160 tonight.
Dude come on with that. Bottom line is this is a very very even matchup, and a very even series.
It's very possible that the "public perception" actually stems from how poorly CJ has pitched in the playoffs. He's gone only 5 innings 3 times, and the one time he went 6 innings he gave up 6 runs.
I have no opinion or interest in betting this specific game, but stop pretending like its some freaking gift landslide. CJ has been putrid in the playoffs thus far, and that's just a fact. Guy's given up 13 walks in his past 16ish innings. Not saying he doesn't get it done tonight, but it's a toss up game/series, and the line reflects that.
You don't read too well huh? Thanks for offering your differing opinion in Hookem's thread.....my opinion is its not an even matchup and Hookem and Qxxxx agree as well, which is why I posted I agree in the thread. And considering CJ has an unreal home record, and the rangers have an unreal home record, and there is a righty pitching vs a lefty in Arlington. That looks like an advantage to me. Take the cards and post in a diff thread about the cards
You don't read too well huh?
I said I don't have a play on this specific game, as it's too even a matchup, and any home field advantage CJ/Texas has is mitigated by how putrid Wilson has been over the past month.
Good luck to you.
