Some would find it interesting that Kirk Douglas is the Oldest Celebrity Blogger on Earth, he began blogging on MySpace years ago, his Blog is now hosted by HuffPost (link below)
and two days before he turned 98 he released a Poetry book called "Life Can Be Verse" that did get some praise
As a college student at St. Lawrence University, Douglas used poetry to get the attention of the girl with the flaming red hair who sat in front of him in class.
How oft have I sat behind thee
In awe and watched thy titian hair
Resplendent in the rays

"We made it two years, stayed together for 2 years!".
Some of his poems in the book are darker and brutally honest, especially "For Michael," which deals with his eldest son, Oscar-winning actor-producer Michael Douglas, with whom he has a close relationship.
"Am I a good father?" I asked my son
He took a pause, too long for me
I waited and waited for him to answer
And finally he said:

Kirk Douglas went to The Cannes Film Festival in 1953 where he and Hollywood in general got introduced to a particular girl who turned the entertainment world on it's head, flooring The Hollywood Establishment with the combination of her incredible beauty and powerful unique personality.
The Power of that personality, Her Amazing Spirit that made her seem like such an Old Soul was matched in it's Sheer Power by the incredible body that contained this one-in-a-Billion Life-force that was, and is, her.
Think of any "entrance" (impact made) by literally any "Star".....Farrah Fawcett.....anyone.....ever.

Theres always been "Sexy Starlets", few who's entrance changed the game.

I believe the last two still living stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood are Olivia de Havilland (age 100) and Kirk Douglas (age 100). Next in line would probably be Angela Lansbury (age 91), who appeared in Gaslight in 1944.
