lots of high chalk...

That is true, and I'm not exactly happy about that. You can go the other way, treating the nice + lines as opportunity plays. I think the Cubs are unfairly priced and might be a possible option against the Phillies, which have had a lot of days of cold bats this year. But then again the Cubs are horribly managed and have poor field defense. Mets and Mariners are also weaker teams that can also rear up when you least expect it. I also think the Nats have good hitting on their side this year and can surprise you. Bottom line is that I'm hoping to hit 65-70+% of the heavy favorites and come out on top.

A good dog bet today is the RedSox (+120). Sabathia is good but I think Beckett has the edge. Actually playing it (light, with a Jays OVER parlay. If the Jays come in UNDER I'll probably rebet it straight up), but not going to list in my favored plays.

Scattered thundershowers around game time - temperature 70-74 degrees. Winds South to North up to 12 mph (wind motion from right to left across the field, toward outfield).

Well, Blue Jays and Phillies let me down (among others), expensive losses for the day.

Wound up 5-5-0, but definitely not a profitable day.

Record: 36-33-5

Plays for Friday, June 10:

7:05 Phillies (Halladay) to beat Cubs (-210)

The chalk is ridiculous, but the Cubs have yet to win three games in a row this season.

More plays later.....

Friday Recap: 1-0-0
Record: 37-33-5

Plays for Saturday, June 11:

1:05PM Yankees (Colon) to beat Indians (-200)

Another high-chalk play, but it should be solid.

More later... making sure Lee isn't going to self-destruct against the Cubs....

I agree. Yesterday I actually betted less, but added a parlay with the Phillies to take the pressure off. And I liked the Angels as a late play. But I couldn't get online yesterday to add the plays....

Play for Monday, June 13:

8:05PM Braves (Lowe) to beat Astros (-125) (5*)

I think this is the best play on the board tonight. Will look for other opportunities but this one sticks out.

Well, the Braves game isn't over, but it might was well be. (It's not top of the 7th, Braves down 7-0). Lowe had done such a good job on his last outing (and I had bet against him then), I thought he would be pretty good tonight. But I'm not seeing the same energy.

I made some tiny other plays (Diamondbacks, Brewers), but Braves were the big one. Dang.
