Looking ahead to Friday.....
I am currently working in Geneva (yes, the one in Switzerland), but I'm flying home to Atlanta tomorrow - I won't have access to the internet after, say, 8AM EDT at the latest until I arrive around 8PM EDT. So I'm checking the plays for tomorrow early, hoping to catch something interesting.
Thumbnail Analysis:
- The best play so far looks like Mark Buehrle of the White Sox taking on the Tigers. He has a great home ERA and the White Sox' hitting has been respectable. Have no idea what Vegas thinks of the play but I would guess they would give the White Sox a -125 line.
- Cubs are now on the road and have been very unimpressive. Dempster is up against a solid Garcia for the Cardinals. Would probably go for the Cards regardless of the line.
- Also like the Phillies against the Pirates, but I'm afraid the line is going to be ugly. Might play it if the line is -155 or better.
- Thinking about Blue Jays, or at least the OVER.
- Atlanta might be a play, though Vegas tends to overprice them.
- DBacks look good for tomorrow, but I want to see how well they do tonight before pulling the trigger.
- Will also consider the Rays - despite Sonnanstine's 0-1 record. But only if the Rays cash tonight. They tend to do well on the road but it comes in streaks.
- Astros have been pretty hot - but then they were playing the Cubs. Will think about them as they approach the Padres.
- Rockies look good for tomorrow against Cain - need to see Cain's ERA stats at home. Like him but Nicasio is on fire.
So until I get more intel my two possible picks are White Sox and Cardinals. Your opinions are welcome.
