To tell the truth, if it was Me as the Bookie...and the Number was that Large ....I would have cut you a Deal for LESS.

But it is true to what you say..."Some" Runners/ Agents are Scumbags and don't care.

Listen.......8 out of 10 guys playing Credit, Don't have the Money to Pay if they lose. ( the full amount )

Only the REAL High rollers do.....
The guy that has a $5k-$10K Credit line, if they lose that much...odds say he can't come up with it.

and the wrong thing to do, is keep on giving him Credit.

Even worst, is the Bookies/Agent/ runner that DOESN'T put that person on a "Roll-over" Acount.
99% of Credit acounts, re-set after the week is Over. Thus...putting the Gambler..at a point where his is able to Bet & Lose Another $10k for the week.

I think ALL smaller Credit Playes should be put on a "Rollover" acount.
And if they Don't, and get Beat.....Then it's on them.

Surprises me to hear this. I don't understand why people that owe or that have owed think they should get a deal for less.

If I'm a book and I'm gonna give somebody a deal or a bonus its gonna be the guy that pays on time. Picks up on the first ring when he owes.

Fuck the guy who bets money he does not have and puts you at the bottom or even takes you off his list.

I had a guy who has owed me good bit for 5 or 6 years ask me the other day what I'd settle for? So this guy gets a deal for going 5 or 6 years without paying?

All that does is encourage people to slow pay.

Another thing when you ask your bookie to raise your credit, and he does it its hard to blame him for you blowing your nuts. Same thing with casino. If you ask him to turn it on, what do you expect?

Once. The dealer of this local Poker spot used to talk about sports all the time. We would be playing 9 handed and he would ask the players if anybody wanted to bet on the current game. Nobody took his action. Till one day this NFL season he liked the Ravens over the Patriots early this year. I took NE and won a quick 100. The guy would call me constantly and ask if I would take some more action. Me being a rook and not know about point spreads and ml wagers I would take the points the way HE WOULD SAY THEY WERE. So on MNF GB vs Minny, this guy calls and ask me if I wanted to play the points. I said sure he gave me 40 point under... Me not knowing better took the bet and lost during the 3rd quarter game had went over. This led me to stiff this guy because he was constantly looking for ways to fuck me over. He would always come at me with the wrong or misleading lines and pretty much force me into a bet. Sure I was dumb for taking the action, but since this was the first local I ever played with I knew no better. I couldnt give a rats ass if he was a Italian mobster, he wasnt going to see my 2k ever. I would of payed but this guy was a crudy ass bitch! Fuck You Joe you fukin Bel Air ass fool!

One of my best friends died of colon cancer but it took it several years to get him.

During that time he continued to run his book. I was surprised at some of the people that slow paid and others that just stiffed him and waited for him to die.

Seriously, don't tip a bookie or agent. If you have in the past, he was laughing his ass off at you. The vig and the destructive nature of humanity together is more than enough of a tip. Most players have no chance to win, so when they do, they should tip themselves to something nice. The bookie wants you to lose every bet you place, then bet some more and lose all of those too. They don't give a fuck about you. They just want to suck as much blood as they can out of you, like a leech.

i understand what you are saying. my point is that he's providing me a service. i don't have to post up or drive out to vegas or play any offshore crap places when i want action. i play what i can handle and do my best not go play over my head. if i'm looking at his as providing me a service and i get on a good run, why not give him a bone for good service? this is my 1st experience with an agent and when i win he pays, when i lose, i pay. what am i missing here?

IMO, it depends on the Detail's. Plus, I Believe that Something..is Better than Nothing.

Now if you are talking about a Guy that Just Took a Shot....and in No way was he going to Pay ( Happen to know a Recent one )

That when you wash your Hands, make a phone call...and let it be Handled.

because I HATE A CON !

You are right every single situation is different. Something is certainly better than nothing but that does not make it right.

Don't get me wrong I've settled for less more times than i can remember, just the whole idea of it is not the way its supposed to be in my eyes.

I've had my brains beat in by people from both sides of counter. I've had to do all kinds of shit to come up with money to payoff. I don't let the guy i owe know about my problems and never ask for a discount though. Its not his problem.

When you do go into payments, is it different between if you owe an agent from when you owe an actual book? What do you end up saying to the guy, can you take $50 a month on 10k?

Well unless you are an agent, you're very unlikely to owe an actual "offshore book"

Nowadays Agent means Local Bookie. If you owe either one though I'd say its about the same thing.

They want you to agree to a plan that you can stick to. Also since its your responsibilty they don't really want to have to call you and contact you to remind you over and over.

Thats what I would hate most about having somebody owe me like that. If I forget about it on the 1st of the month that does not mean they don't owe it. Do they want a fucking invoice?

50 a month on 10k is like pissing on somebody's dog, but if you're lifetime loser and thats absolutly all you can do its better than zero.

If you owe 10k and all you can pay is 50 a month you're basically a piece of shit anyway in my opionion.

I guess the short answer is make an agreement and stick to it. You've already gone back on your word to get in this spot so don't do it again.

is it wrong to tip a blackjack dealer?
it's correct to tip a blackjack dealer if you want them to deal one more hand out of a handheld plus count deck. they will get the idea when you stick that toke on the felt. other than that, i wouldn't tip them. ~~:<<

Wil, not so much a bad run, as stupidity.

Really, I do decent at sports, it's that damn casino that gets me!

Sorry your in a spot.

Can I ask what the advantage is playing in casino with a local rather than offshore. Is it the credit that makes you choose the local?
