It is comical to see these people get their results and interpret them however they want.
I think this Dominican/Gringa chick got her results and she's approximately 70% Euro White and.... she says, "So basically I'm from everywhere" and declares herself a mix. It's like these Chicano videos and they get 50% Euro as number one ingredient and 40% native.... and they go, "Yep, I'm totally Mexican! I knew it!"

i have read a few horror stories and also heard from many people who say a lot of the results arent conclusive and often times inaccurate. one story i did see on the news but cant find was about a husband and wife who did it for fun only to get results that she had a terminal disease. they were still young (below 30) and started to make arrangements in preparation for her passing. after hearing the results she told her family and of course went through a ton of heartache and immediately went to her doctor. come to find out she was completely healthy and the results from the kit werent conclusive but took a few weeks to figure all that out. dont know if its 23 and me, or ancestry or whatever but it was a home dna kit of some sort. makes me not trust them at all. if i can find the article i will post it but havnt been able to yet.
I didn't get the Health one, so don't have a problem with it that way.
I do a full Check up every year, and other stuff with my Doctors.
But where they do get you ( with Ancestry ) is now if you want more detail's on your matches, you need to pay to see their family tree to figure out how, who, etc
tons of 3rd and 4th cousins ....
and of course the only way to find matches is if the other person did a DNA test ... Duh ...

It's interesting, I had my DNA done by ancestry.com a couple years ago, and hadn't checked it in a couple years. They've recently adjusted the results to factor in all the new data
they've accumulated, and before I showed 2% Jewish and 1% American Indian, and now those results have dropped off...
