Has anyone ever seen a Tornado, with your own eyes not in a picture?

They are springing up in my neck of the woods, some incredible pictures... already some damage too..

I'm not an aderaline junkie by any strech but I'd love to see one. try to get as close to it as possible. being a tornado chaser seems exciting...

Seen a few traveling in tornado alley. They scare the shit out of me. I would take a hurricane over a tornado any day. There isn't much of a warning when a tornado touches down to get out of it's path and they are very loud.

Heard one in the middle of the night that turned out to he about 50 feet from my house (when I was a kid)

Seen several. Was in one canoeing a river when it came thru. Tore roof off of nearby school and trees down everywhere. Camping another time and all hell broke lose. Hit about 8 miles from where we were camping. Tents blown 200-300 yards away

I have never seen one but my grandparents always told me about how they watched their roof get taken off by the famous 1975 Xenia oh tornado. That happened when I was 10 and have always been scared of them since.

Yes, about 4 blocks away, didn't look too wide.........it took off part of the malls roof & uprooted trees..........first time I ever heard that emergency siren too.

I've seen 3 of them close up. Two tornadoes came within a half a mile of my home. And the third one I saw coming before it hit and destroyed part of the building where I used to work. Luckily we had a shelter...There isn't a whole lot of people in Oklahoma who hasn't seen one. Afterall it's tornado alley...
