Hello DS -

I checked your account and I cannot see anything wrong with it, so -please call our office - 866-736-3950 - and ask to speak to tech support - they will get you going right away.

Thanks

Hi Rick,

I have been using DB for probably 15 years and have over the last couple of years during the slow months tried the competition. In the past I have never found anything that made me feel comfortable enough to switch, but I must say I do like what I see thus far with SO. My only gripe, and hopefully it is something that I just need to tweak with setup, is that after staring at SO for a full day it seemed a little hard on the eyes. I don't know if it is the fact that DB has the columns and rows without lines and they are alternating White and Grey background vertically rather than horizontally. I guess though my perspective is from a books point of view so I am mostly looking at a particular casino and going straight down the board as compared to a bettor looking at a game and going accross. Possibly it is just that I am so used to DB and if the rolls were reversed I might find DB hard on my eyes. Other than that thus far I really like a lot of the features that you have.

Hi,

I'm playing around with sportsoptions now.

Regarding a Mac - when I first downloaded it, it would not open when following the download prompts. But today I figured out if you download it to the desktop and then open it, it will open.

Anyways, I like the interface - very nice.

A couple questions.

1. How big a time difference is there between the $99 version and $299 version? Are we talking seconds, minutes, etc? How often does each update?

2. Any chance of adding Trojan, Beted, Wagerweb, Wager7(or any other first fidelity), and betfirstclass? If you do, I think you'll have the perfect service! Some may be there and I may have missed them, but I dont think they are.

Hi Sean,

On the Standard service, line changes are delayed 1.5 minutes and Critical Notices are delayed 3 minutes. Other than that, the only difference is that Key Move alerts are not available on the Standard service.

I will contact the books you have listed to see if we can get a feed. Most books want to be on the service, but there are some that choose not to.

Thanks
Rick

Thanks for offer Rick.......

Is the standard service $99?

If so, there can't be a 1.5 minute delay in the line changes can there, as most free services are around 15 seconds.

Sorry if I'm missing something here.

Hi Fish,

While free services are a great tool for some bettors, there are many reason that players decided to use our Standard service over the free services:

1. The free service typically tout live lines, but they are far from it. If you look across the board, free services will average well over 1 minute. Don't get me wrong, there are feeds that will be at the 15 seconds, but over all the delay is on average much longer.

2. The free services don't offer the stability that the paid services do. Our lines, scores, injuries, etc are consistently monitored for speed and accuracy. Here is just one example on tonight's board - I compared the closing lines listed on SO for NFLX 259/260 with SBR and their service was wrong on Pinnacle, 5Dimes and Greek. Plus, close to kickoff Pinnacle had 5 line changes on the total that the free service never picked up.

3. The paid services are far more customizable.

4. The paid services offer more customer support. From tech issues to verbal rundowns for customers away from their computers, our customers can call us almost 24 hours a day.

Thanks
Rick

Thanks

I personally use the SBRLINES FREE service more than any other service(paid or free) and find it to be outstanding for my personal needs

The moves are almost always completed in 15 seconds.........or less(i know this because I see the moves that some of my personal wagers make).

Although I don't keep abreast of injuries that a paid service may provide, I use 5 different computor screens at once to monitor lines and this works best for me.

However, for a mere $99 a month, SO is certainly worth it to many, as that is only around $3 a day and if one is betting any significant amount of money, that is a bargain considering all it provides. I will probably be a customer off and on with Sportsoptions over the coming months and years if I stay in this business.

Thanks for the time Rick,
FH

Fish,

My advice has always been that players should use the service that best fits their needs. For some that means paying more for DB and for other it means paying nothing for some of the free services.

It sounds like SBR works for you because the books you use are the faster feeds on the service (knowing you, my guess is Matchbook is one of them!).

However, if you compare the lines across the board it is just not the case. I did some monitoring before typing this and they were over 5 minutes behind on changes from Pinnacle, CRIS, Greek and 5 Dimes. I am not trying to bash them as I believe all of the free services are good tools for many players - I am just pointing out the difference between free and paid.

Thanks
Rick

I notice one of the services is offering a special now for about 350.00 for the year. Believe me, there is no comparison. S/O beats them with a stick. The service is good, but not in the same league. The faster injury report alone makes it well worth the money spent. I have the service just for backup and monitor quite closely. S/O is far and away the best going right now in my opinion. I have had them since day one and hardly a month goes by that they haven't upgraded or refined their system even more.
