Seattle vs White Sox is hardly a game of the day by any means but I like the fact that both teams were scoreless Sunday. The White Sox lost 6 in a row scoring only 9 runs in those 6 games (1.5 run per game) while Seattle scored 1 run in 14 innings in last 2 vs lefty starters with 15 Ks and only 1 walk. Danks allowed 9 er in last 62 innings against Seattle (ERA of 1.31) and Saunders had a 6 quality starts run against White Sox from 2007 to 2010. So, both pitchers are going against teams they used to dominate.

lincecum vs johnson matchup would be considered a game of the day in 2011 or earlier. even last season this pitching matchup would be considered by under lovers. but since both guys are having a bad year this season, taking under in this game is a big no-no for most bettors. with both starters having extra time to prepare for this game and both offenses struggling lately (sf only 5 runs in 3 games in stl and toronto 5 straight games with 3 runs and then one game where they scored 4 in regulation and 3 in extra innings) i expect lincecum and johnson to get back on track and pitch well tuesday. under 7.5
