:toast::aktion033:aktion033:aktion033:aktion033The only reason the NL lost last night was because Clint Hurdle brought in Billy Wagner w/ 2 outs in the 8th instead of letting Brian Wilson pitch to the last batter of the inning. Wilson was pitching great and got the first two men of the inning out easily. Wilson should have finished the 8th and Lidge could have been up for the save in the 9th. Why the hell did Hurdle need to bring in Wagner for one batter in the bottom of the 8th? Complete nonsense that cost the NL the game, not Uggla.
Back to Uggla...
Since they started this little league, everyone must play bullshit... has there ever been a more unproductive, or counterproductive contribution by a single player than Dan Uggla last night?
We all know the stats by now... 0-4, 3 k's, 1 GIDP, and 3 fielding Errors (1 was a bad hop, but who cares... this shit is funny).
In my mind, that has to be the worst.
The IRONY in all this is that none of Uggla's ineptitude directly caused the NL to lose... it wasn't until, Brad "I'm a natural born Loser" Lidge came into the game that the NL's fate was sealed.
What does this matter?
Wagner is an all-star (allegedly), but b/c it's not the 9th inning he gets a pass for being a worthless pitcher?
And could you clarify "specialty lefty" please?:think2:
29 game hit streak.
Raises average to .220 !!!! (LOL, there must be a record here for someone to have this long of a hit streak with that low of an average)
Uggla has the longest active hitting streak in the majors, and he’s tied with Rowland Office for the second-longest streak in franchise history behind Rico Carty’s 31 in a row in 1970.
