After their big win last week at home over Fresno State, Boise State kept their hopes of winning the Mountain West title alive and kicking as they make the visit to Albuquerque to face a Lobos team that has lost its bite here at the end of the season.
New Mexico has covered in 6 of the last 7 series meetings with Boise State, but with 5 straight losses - and to the spread as well, its hard to build a convincing case for taking these points.
The Broncos were able to score 24 points on the best defense in the conference last week at home, and they have done a fine job on the conference road with an 8-4-1 spread mark on the Mountain West road. Brett Rypien was able to throw for 269 yards in last week's key win, and with the Wolves yielding over 600 yards and 42 points in last week's loss to Air Force, this one could very well turn ugly early.
Boise State has done a good job when taking on teams with a losing record, as they are 5-0-1 against the spread their last 6 played in that spot, and playing a team with absolutely no hope of making it to a bowl game this game should get out of hand in a hurry.
No choice here on Friday at Dreamstyle Stadium, but to lay it, as New Mexico's dream turns into a very real nightmare.
Broncos BIG.

It is a new era in Kingston, Rhode Island, as the Rams have a new coach in former assistant Dave Cox who takes over for the departed Dan Hurley who has moved on to take over in Storrs at UConn.
Not only does URI have a new coach, but their roster is now going through a major rebuild, as gone are four starters from last year's NCAA tournament team. The lone holdover is point-guard Jeff Dowtin which is good, but is it good enough for the Rams to be laying a few baskets to the cream of the Ivy League crop, Harvard Crimson? I don't think so.
Tommy Amaker has turned Harvard into the "Bell Cow" of the Ivy's, and he does have the player-of-the-year, Seth Towns back for his junior season. Along with Towns, Amaker has his 4 starters from last year also in the fold! Bottom line, this is a loaded team that can make some noise this season both in-league, and out-of-conference. Look for them to make that noise tonight against the rebuilding Rams.
Harvard just picked up a quality win at UMass, 74-71 earlier this week to improve to 2-1. Center Chris Lewis led the Crimson on Monday with 16-points in the win over the Minutemen, as Harvard improved to 10-7 when playing against teams from the Atlantic Ten. The win also improved Harvard to a money-making 15-5-1 against the spread their last 21 tries in the underdog role.
Rhode Island has split their first 2 decisions this season, and did lose by 11-points in their last game against the College of Charleston. Coach Cox will get this team headed in the right direction, but with so much turnover, things are going to be a little bit tricky early this season, and tonight they are up against an opponent that can stroke the perimeter jump-shot. With Lewis working the interior and then kicking it out when the defense collapses on him, expect the Crimson to find plenty of open looks. Just a question of whether or not the outside shot falls for Harvard tonight. If it does, then an outright win is definitely within reason.
Take the points.

NCAA-B | Wisc-Milwaukee vs Cincinnati

I like the value here with the Panthers as a big underdog against the Bearcats on Friday night. Wisconsin-Milwaukee shot a miserable 27.7% against BC and still managed to only lose by 20-points. Cincinnati has lost at home to Ohio State and failed to cover as a big favorite next time out against NC Central.
Fading the Bearcats at home early on has been a solid investment, as Cincinnati is just 13-26 ATS in their last 39 home games in the month of November. Bearcats are also 14-24 ATS in their last 38 at home off a win by 15 or more points and have gone just 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 at home vs a team with a losing record.
While this is still a talented team. The Bearcats lost 3 huge pieces from last year's team in Jacob Evans, Gary Clark and Kyle Washington. They aren't going to score as effectively this season and with the way they like to slow the game down with their stingy defense, it's hard for them to create the kind of separation needed to cover these big spreads. Take Wisconsin-Milwaukee!
