Call HSBC and offer to "pay for deletion" from your credit report...some will, some wont...to the poster who asked how paying $1k when owing $2k will affect your credit report, it can actually hurt it...youd be better off letting the 7 years expire and letting it drop off of your credit unless your lender is making you pay the debt....good luck to all

The answer to your problem

1. Go to your local courthouse and file in "small claims court" the cost is $40.00.

2. Serve the summons to hsbc.

3. Then call them, ask them to take it off your credit.

I had 19 negative credit reports. I am down to 5....

Good news!

gOT IT off with almost no effort at all. Called that department of HSBC and they said they only keep records of paid off accounts for 2 years. Since I did pay off the 15 over 2 years ago they had no records and had to delete this off my report. Cant wait to get my new report.

This thing knocked my down to 662 which would have put me in the high intrest bracket which I was not willing to pay. I need at least a 720 to get the loan that I am willing to pay for.

Before all this happened I was in the 740 range. Im sure it will go back to that again when this gets updated.

To the earlier poster in this thread that also got fucked by HSBC all you need to do is go to the credit buru and dispute it. They will delete it for you. It only takes 5mins

interesting.

I have one other little nick on my report that probably is costing me a few points with GM. I have a 30 day late from them about 3 years ago because I work in the gulf of mexico and had no computer access one time when it was due.

I might try what you are saying for that, but that probably is not costing me many points so it may not be worth it.

All I need is a 720 to do what need to do.
