Good point. One question I have is of the $3100 how much was your inital deposit. I don't think anyone has anything to worry about when it comes to the deposits. The problem is with the winnings, courts might not order BOS to refund winnings

Yes, there was something called continental currency with no backing, not sure Congressman made money off it. Paper wasn't accepted then. Real money was copper, silver, gold.

The continental was debunked and holders of it received 2% of its perceived value.

Not sure if a betmill balance is worth much more than 2%, but Id take a shot for that small amount of risk and potential 50 fold payoff.

No way would I today buy this balance for 65% of account balance.

Great idea with this thread. If its feasible its a way for some guys to avoid potentially being totally wiped out.

short version= Book in trouble, pay never pay, account owner would settle for partial now and pay the buyer in full if they do pay. I think he also said he would only deal with people in CR nothing about wiring money to US.

See what I mean?? This is exactly what I've spoke about when I have talked about players that aren't exactly experienced. No offense Isaacm, there is nothing wrong with not having a lot of experience in whatever industry one is in....it will come.

Isaacm, the situation is, that there is a GOOD chance that Bet On Sports will NEVER reopen, and if that happens, more than likely, there is a good chance that people with player accounts there will get NOTHING, OR, they may get something like 5 cents on the dollar, and it may take years.

Guys that are soliciting their BoS accounts, I certainly hope you don't take advantage of someone that really isn't aware of what is going on, you wouldn't be any better than BoS themselves.

I would pay 26 cents on the dollar for up to 10,000 in account balance.

It must be a respected poster here. I don't want to get anyone's hopes too high as I would be very selective with whom I did business.

Let me know in this thread. In essence if you have 10k, I will give you 2600 for it. I will entertain all accounts to a lower limit of 2k.

Good luck and my offer will be off the table by 8 p.m. EDT tomorrow night (Saturday, July 29th) as to avoid the seller feeling they can wait around for better offers. 24 hours or no deal.

keep in mind they will only most likely repay initial account deposit

not winnings and or bonuses

they will only repay the minimum requirement

(my reading of the situation)

Thank You

Thank you to all who have replied. To answer a few questions, the initial deposit was $2,000, well over a year ago. The balance was rolled many times. No withdrawals have been made.

I specified someone in Costa Rica for a few reasons. One, I want it to be a straight cash transaction on both sides. You'd give me cash, and when I got paid I'd give you cash. If, when they pay, it is by check then it would be a soon as the check cleared. If it is by neteller then you'd get paid as soon as I have control of the money.

Also, if you are in CR and known in the industry, then I could offer a substantial reference who would vouch for me.

If you are not in CR it seems unlikely to me that you'd be willing to accept the risk. But irrespective of anything else, if I say I'm going to pay then I am going to pay.

As for offers of less than $2,000. I don't know what the "right" price is. And obviously it is the uncertainty that makes me want to construct a deal. I may entertain lower offers, but if they are substantially lower then I would almost certainly prefer to stick it out.

Clearly this is a volatile situation, and circumstances may change at any time, but as of this writing my offer still stands.

Again, I appreciate all the replies.

I assume

The RX Insurance is non-transferable if they had to pay. So the any of amount may not be a good amount if that is what anyone is thinking???

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but if you're saying that the person buying my risk wouldn't be eligible for the Rx guarantee, well, perhaps you have a point. However, I would still be the one cashing out the account. I would then pay off the buyer. They are two separate transactions.

That said, I don't see how the Rx could possibly reimburse everybody, and I'm not putting a whole lot of value on that.

They can't play it both ways. If they are returning only the deposit amount, and not any winnings, then they can't turn around and deduct losses.

The only way to justify returning only the deposit amount is to state that the wagers were not legal, and therefore not honored. If they count the losers, then they're back in the same position, and in fact reasserting, that these illegal wagers stand.

Given a choice, they would be better off financially returning the current balance, as of course most accounts have lost money.
