The OJ Simpson car chase, was in school the teacher stopped class and put it on the TV. I didn't understand what it was. Ha still don't.

it was either truman recalling mccarthur from korea or mickey mantle being sent back to the minors. both happened in 1951.

Will you be celebrating you're 100th birthday in Vegas next year????

Yeah, I remember our school almost shutdown. Lots of emotions going on that day and most of us didn't
have a clue what was going on.

A second is when Coach Bear Bryant died...unless you live in Alabama...you just won't understand.
Died 37 days after he retired. If there is something greater than a legend thats Bryant in Bama.

I remember wanting to watch cartoons, but every channel was covering the funeral and I remember my mom crying
Funny, almost identical to me. Was watching Bozo's Circus and didn't understand why my mother was crying and changing the tv channel.

Wasn't my first (JFK assassination) but second for sure. Growing up in the Chicago suburbs i was fascinated by the Speck case and read all the papers first on the manhunt and capture and then the trial. Murders were in 1966.
