Fenway is sweet

Just got back, and I had a great time in Boston. Fenway lived up to its hype. The only thing that didn't was the Fenway Franks.....for 4.50, you get something that tastes like a microwave hot dog on a piece of white Sunbeam bread.

Several cool bars in the neighborhood around the park also. The accent rubs off quickly, because by the end of the Saturday game, I was calling my team the Codnals.

It really is a sweet stadium, it is a shame that they allow those damn Red Sox fans in there to stink it up.

Don't eat the Fenway franks (they really do suck) - Joey will know where to go, have a great meal at a Boston eatery around Kenmore Square before the game, get good and full and while at the game if you get a little hunger twinge try some peanuts or some harmless snack like a giant pretzel that you can dump if you do not like it. Do not go to Fenway for the food INSIDE the ballpark.

On Wednesdays they have a BBQ Rib special that is excellent. You can sit outside or inside at Thorton's - if the night is beautiful definitely go for outside. Joey - you might have to park on close by Boylston St. and stroll over to Thorton's.

Have one beer, 2 max during the game. Visit Fenway for the history of the game, the beauty of the field, the sounds of the game, and hopefully get lucky and enjoy a terrific pitching matchup between oldtimers Randy Johnson and Tim Wakefield.

Personally I was never a big fan of behind home plate seats but thats just me. I hope you're seats are great.

After the game enjoy some of the Boston night life, again Joey will have to be you're guide.

I have a pre-game routine that includes parking at my brother's house, cab to Kenmore Sq, dinner at Bertucci's and drinks in the ' secret' outside patio at Who's on first.

This video they have when it rains is great (The one with Paps and Del Carmen). Because of it I can't stop mumbling "blame it on the rain" while I do different things around here.

I think the video is pretty funny and will probably be a fan favorite for at least a few years.
