Fenway Park is a dump and that's being nice about it. Unless you have one of the few good seats in the park, the sight lines are terrible. There are poles everywhere which create a lot of obstructed view seats. The large number of aisles create a constant flow of traffic which further blocks your view. The seats are like cement so bring a cushion. The hot dogs are awful. As billhill mentioned, get a sausage sandwich outside the park. They're hot and fresh and you can get a lot of toppings if you want. There's also a lot of good pubs and restaurants in the area so eat before you get into the park. Fenway Park is an old, dirty, smelly and cramped ballpark.

I grew up in Massachusetts so I've spent some wonderful nights at Fenway Park but it's simply not a good place to watch a game. That being said, if you haven't been I would recommend at least one visit and then you can make your own decision. I will have to say my fondest memory of going there as a young boy was the feeling you get when you get to the top of the stairs at the Kenmore Square subway station and you look up and you can see Fenway Park and you know you're almost there.
Coming out of the subway and getting the first glimpse of the park was a pretty awesome feeling.

Couldn't agree more. Its old and out of date. Its a bitch getting in and out.they got rows with about 30 seats and only one way to get out which means you spend half the game standing up two let a couple 12 year olds get their 5th ice cream or couple of drunks go for their 10th beer in four innings usually during a bases loaded situation and a 3-2 count.
They outpriced me a decade ago.I'll be in Boston tommorow was thinking of going where the scalpers hang out and getting a ticket..nah fuck that 110 bucks for some shit seat to watch an expansion team.
I still think Yankee stadium is the best and I'm a real Sox fan and not some millenium pink hat..but fenway sucks...and there is no need for it.

Ive been banned form the park since 2005. I used to go to every game by slipping the usher "the hammer" a 20 spot, when the new ownership group came in they put in surveilance cameras at the gate and the hammer was fired on the last day of the regular season.

fast forward to '05' , the sox did their quee eye for straight guy thing and the day those queers threw out the first pitch a whole bunch of em showed up at the game. afterholding myself back for several innings these two queers bumped into me near a food line , one of em had a sign that said some gay pride shit and without thinking and before they could react I snatched the sign out their hand and snapped the stick over my knee and drilled the other one in the face with it and then bowled him into his queer freind like a bowling ball.

anyway i have a donot trespass at fenway.

What people are missing here in a big way is that the Fenway seats (like all of them) are so close to the field. Every seat is pretty much a good seat. You see some ballparks where with foul territory and the park being so big that even a close up seat is not that close. And the seats in the middle or back are too far back. In Fenway, you are right there. That is huge.

Best value at Yankee stadium is section 612 or 610 row A or B.
It's upstairs, third deck, but right behind home plate.
48 bucks for a perfect, unrestricted view of the whole field laid out in front of your eyes.
Much better than the field level left field box that the yupppies want.

The VAST majority of the seats in that stupid ball park are in Right field! just a retarded design.

it's a 100 years old, things were much, much different back then when they constructed that park.

I love Fenway. This grown man will cry if it ever gets replaced.

In no other venue do you have the intimacy that you have with
Fenway. It's a major league park with a AAA feel, meaning that
you don't feel like you're a million miles away from the actual game.

There are plenty of seats from left field section 32 to section 8. All of em are pretty darn good. There are many seats that are better than any seat in almost any other ballpark. You are being negative. BTW they did go out and rate the seats in all ballparks at one time (just the view of the game not comfort) and Fenway rated at the top or near the top of course. There are some serious benefits. Yes, some drawbacks too that are being mentioned.

Every seat in left field is damn good. What a view. Every one!!!!! Of course the closer to home plate and around to first is great too.

We can play the Fenway Frank game. Each of us eats a Fenway Frank every half inning until the other 3 guys quit.

Sounds easy - its not. No one ever makes it to the 7th inning.

it is a sweet park, had my first visit there couple weeks ago too. the surrounding area was cool for both pregame and postgame, seats are a bit tiny, and the space between rows is minimal, but i remember thinking how every seat is probably a good one. the fenway frank was aight...i loved the clam chowder. still can't believe beer vendors are restricted to just a few sections. also reminds me, at the TD banknorth garden, if you're out of state you have to be 25 to buy a beer??? what kind of shit is that
