What's the difference between the Cold Cut and Spicy Italian?......I usually gets subs at other places (Italian), but only get Cold Cut the times I go to Subway which is average so maybe I should try the Spicy Italian???

subway makes bank on those sandwiches.. everyone is fooled that its such a great price..

you are essentially getting a veggie sandwich. They put very little meat on it. Cost them 15 cents to make a sandwich with very little meat on it and they are charging $5 w/o a drink and people are flocking for it. Hey I like subway but I don't think its that great of a deal.

I'm sure you know of other places that make a better sandwich with better ingredients and likely more meat for only a dollar more. Or have a combo that makes it the same price. $5 footlong is not a good deal.

I was all ready to go to Subway for the first time in several months.......Now I'm thinking somewhere else LOL..........Ruth's Chris is still the best for steak. I remember I used to love Longhorn, but now it tastes inferior to me after eating Ruth's Chris several times....

I feel like subway takes advantage of their niche. Cheap compared to others when "heated" = microwaved. Same sandwich at say a quizno's is prob. $6.50 but ran through the conveyer belt oven.

Plus subway screws you on chips and drink which I will never get. Just make alot of $$ and none of this shit will matter.

With all due respect, you can "oven roast" crap and it is still crap.

Paper thin and even the little bit of meat you get is not of any quality. I personally would rather spend another $1 on a sandwich and get quality.

There is a reason why Subway makes more millionaires than any other franchise. I'll give you a hint, it is not because of the quality.

Im not saying to compare it to other places and besides that we could compare a whopper to another fast food or a home grilled burger even.. of course there is other alternatives.. but to save on the every day prices is good for an occasional Subway eater. Not like the deal means you must go but if you want a somewhat healthy quick alternative to other fast foods this is a solid deal. It might not be a ton of meat, a lot of bread, etc but its still a pretty decent deal for a sandwich if your looking for one. IMO

Fair enough.

Is that a subway sandwich you are eating in your avatar there?

Doesn't look like it.

15 cents? come on man, the bread costs them more than that lol

with all the stuff i put on it (pickles, jalapenos, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, peppers, etc) it would probably cost me $3 to buy the ingredients and make it myself. so it probably costs them $1.50 not including labor

I really don't think the franchise owners usually become millionaires, I've seen a lot of Subway locations fail and go out of business, they have to pay corporate headquarters a lot in royalties.

The sandwich you get at the store won't look like the ones in the picture. There are much less meat. Haha.
