there are a couple of really good ones from CT, Two Roads and Thimble Islands

I enjoy going to the breweries and hanging out with friends once a month, taking away from our winery excursions

I love Leinies!! (i'm not a hipster and i love a good beer). Sunset wheat is my favorite (too bad they dont sell in south fla). The shandy drinks are nice summer drinks when drinking a beer or 2 outside. I started drinking them years ago after i first heard about them from listening to the Steve Czaban show on my drive to work

I have a buddy auctioning off a 12 oz beer right this very second from Voodoo call Manbearpig...it's limited and probably cost $18...the highest bid on this thing right now...............

$625 with 5 hours left to go. And buyer pays shipping to boot
that's crazy...had no idea Voodoo had a big following. Been up to their Meadville location 8-10 times and beer is nothing special. They have a tasting room 20 minutes from me and i have been there once as i would have to pass up 3 better drink joints to get there. Manbearpig is good but far prefer their milk stout, Cowbell.

that beer closed at $670...you tried Manbearpig? I heard they were pretty meh in general.
I just received a Rye Black Magick a couple of days ago...that I had originally planned to drink at some point, but i'll probably flip it for around $200...(it's 12 oz as well).

I'll tend to save, and share larger formatted beers (750 ml) and not really flip them. But it's hard to pass up letting beer go for $17/oz.

it's like the housing market out there

yes i had mbp....was good, not great. LOVE their Cow Bell regular or on nitro. damn good. only thing else i really love from them is their seasonal Cucumber Ale. You wouldn't think cucumber could hold the taste in beer but it really does. It predictably comes out toward the end of cucumber season...we are about 3-4 weeks into the season so should be getting brewed soon. It is awesome

had Black Magick but i'm not a big whiskey guy so the rye whisky barrels deal was not my thing. It is certainly no KBS ....

a VT brew but made by Two Roads is Lawson's Sip of Sunshine. Maybe the best beer i tasted in 2015 (and I had several Heady Toppers last year)

in fact if you ever want to pick me up a couple....

If you are looking for ipa's Grapefruit Sculpin is my favorite. Ballast Point Unfiltered. Terrapin Rye Pale Ale. Last Stand ipa. All good ones to try if you can get them up your way.

you're in maryland so might be able to get some of the stuff coming out of Pizza Boy Brewing in Harrisburg...they are making some really good IPA's like murren river and laserbeams.

really love an EPA from Knee Deep but it's pretty pricey. Around $80 for a 12 pack of 22 ouncers, https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/23200/76468/?ba=GRG1313

Please explain how you don't drink the water in Mexico but you drink the beer? Wtf? Mexican beer sucks. I only buy American Microbrew beer. It is fresher and made with high quality ingredients. Any of the shit that you buy from Europe sits for months before it gets here and if you notice, the shelf life date is usually much longer than the microbrews.

you must not know how beer is made...
drinking beer instead of water was safer back in the medieval times, especially when Europe was suffering from the bubonic plague.... and it was all made with the same water source.

Thanks for the picks fellas.

One of the hidden gems I've found is Stone IPA "Enjoy By". Specifically brewed not to last, they etch a date on the can/bottle it's best to be enjoyed by. I've had 3 versions and all have been excellent. If you happen to see it around grab it.

Just don't drink all 6 in an evening. Has a little kick @ 9.4%

At what point does this trend jump the shark? There's micro brews and beer themed joints opening up almost every week locally.

The 420? If so that's a good one
They have just a Sweetwater IPA.

Im not a fan of IPA really, but I really enjoy the Sweetwater 420 also.

Usually think flavored beers are gross, but I really enjoy the Sweetwater Blue also...
