The optics weren't good. Lewandowski gone. The more experienced Manafort was hired. Do you really think that Trump knew that he had tax issues from years before? Manafort didn't even finish the job. He was gone by August. It was KellyAnn Conway who put Trump over the top down the stretch.

FYI, the grand jury is still convened for this scumbag -- one of Stone's former aides is testifying to that grand jury -- this story/case has not gone away simply because your attention was focused on some shiny orange balls.
