Speaking of Xanax = Devils Drug.

Getting off Xanax is the biggest MIND FCUK in the world. You can actually seiz up... You be walking around in brain fog for days and weeks if you first don't have a seizure.

Xanax is some bad shit.

I have heard that all benzos are, like alcohol, something that can kill you from the w/d if you are not careful.

Do you know anything about ativan/lorazepam? My doc gave me that to help me sleep...along with ambien....I've been taking it regularly now for over 6 mos...I don't think that is as bad as xanax...it's an anti anxiety pill but I take it for insomnia...

A friend of mine took Ativan for sleeping for a bit and getting off it she used Celexa for a stint and was able to get off it. It's surely not as bad as Xanax but again like all benzos you will be off for some time.

Amazing how one pill for the other in all these circumstances?

xanax is the worst drug to get off. If taken regularly (1-5 mg a day), it can take well over a year before you are feeling "normal" when getting off of it. Its kinda scary but check out the Asherton Manual for benzo dependence and taper schedule. If it scares one person into quitting then killer. Tons of research from Europe went into it and most of the doctors conclude that the withdrawls are longer and harder than most ANY drug.
The only way I can try to explain is that your receptors for every stimulus, feels like they are a sparkler on July 4. goodluck
Benzos are EVIL....

suboxone is the way to go. My best friend was taking oxys 100 -150 mg a day habit for over 3 years. Took the subs and didnt have 1 symptom of withdrawals. Its amazing, and its great.

he got them from his physicitrist (sp). be prepared to spend a lot of money on subs though. A lot of doctors wont take insurance for them. And you have to pay cash.

He called his insurance company and they found him a person who took his insurance. he got lucky, because the sub treatment over where i live is like $5000 , and he couldnt afford it.

Now he's off it, still takes the subs, and has a happy family....but he still cant quit the habit of smoking a blunt every now and then

A friend of mine is a Pharmacist and told me like in 2003 - 29 million Lortab's precribed in Nevada and in 2004 - 60 million or some crazy number. I would be willing to bet more than 50% of Pain Meds are sold or given away to other people from which it is prescribed to.

I hear Suboxone treatment on the East Coast is a total rip job... I paid 350$ and then my insurance picked up the script for 40$. That was for 2/8 (big orangies).

I've even heard there is waiting lists and some people sell their scripts for like 50$ a pill.

If you want to see what the leg thing is watch the movie 'Candy'. I could handle throwing up... toilet stops... but the ants crawling on your bones and leg shit is the worst feeling you can have.

I guess i can imagine the 'ants crawling on the bones part' but i don't really get what the heavy/dead/restless leg part is.

50$ a pill??? Where is this market because I will be down there tomorrow. I can get a hold of them for 5-7$ a pill and a pill should last 2-3 days as you only need a quarter at a time

I'm sure you are right.., if I was so inclined (which I'm not), I could make about $30k per year selling just what I am prescribed by my doctor.

I have a drawer full. My insurance covers them though. Of course, they would probably:think2: if I was filling them along with my percocet script. lol...I think when I was on them I was paying about $100 per month ....BARGAIN compared to the others if you don't have a script. A lot of people just don't want to have their insurance pay because they don't want that red flag.

just a very uneasy feeling. totally uncomfortable. almost sharp pain like

ya if insurance is hitting you for $5000 for the subs it would be better to go to the street where you can find them for $5. only need 1 for every 2 days, and don't need to take them for more than 2 weeks.

true story

an employee of mine was "dope sick" and called off work. I told him I have a pill that can take away his opiod withdrawals, he said bring it over and he will give me $500. To make a long story short, he showed up at work the next day perfectly fine, and I had $500 in my betjm.com account

I've taken them for years, body has been through the ringer playing football and other sports most my life when I was younger. I've broke and dislocated so many bones I can't count them all. Anyway I have no problems, only bad thing for me is getting constipated. I can miss the first half of a football game trying to shit out a quarter sized milk dud. I get the same as Action Girl, take them as prescribed, usually less, and have no problems. All done legally of course.

BTW one month I got them stolen, I had some extra to cover me at first but ran out in the middle of the month. I was told by everyone you are going to go through hell and back. Surprisingly it wasn't that bad. I felt ran down, felt like I had a temperature, but I drank plenty of water and laid low for a couple of days. That was it, I came out after that just fine. I think it depends on how much you were taking and the person as well, not everyone is going to react the same way.

Last time I was at pain management I heard my doctor's receptionist telling someone it was their "2nd strike" and the next time they wouldn't be able to prescribe anymore. I assumed they let you have a couple refills in case you have them lost or stolen but have to watch out for addicts. The doctor was listening to the conversation just shaking his head...but they gave them to the guy/girl on the other line....Good to know ...I also had to sign a book of paperwork agreeing not to sell/barter my meds or get them from any other doctor.

HeatherRays...$500?? Are you kidding? That
's nuts... although it might be the best $500 he ever spent.
