Izzy -165 vs Pereira is the weirdest opening line I can recall in sometime, I get styles make fights but Pereira would be a dog to like 5-6 guys in this division that Izzy would be a prohibitive -300 fav over

welp, guess I'm gonna have to lose a lot of money on this

No opinion really on the winner but that is because Izzy has proven takedown defense in this division. We have no clue what Pereira will do against some solid grappling

I think I’m in the minority, I think Pereira knocks him out, and I think it’s going to be vicious. I agree completely with Pats, but I do think Pereira is one of worst matchups Adesanya could have. Insane striker, super confident and holds two wins, one by vicious KO over him. He’s knocking him out I think, but may be a great fade in his first defense. Well, Pats, one of us probably losing a bit, so be it, name of the game.

He couldn't knock out Bruno Silva 5 months ago, don't see him knocking out Izzy who some of the best MW's in the world could barely touch

I've watched both the kickboxing fights, its just a totally different sport as far as what is allowed, stance/distance, gloves.

Gastelum did a lot of damage on Izzy before getting smoked in rd 5...If he fought a Gastelum level fighter today it is a 50-45, he's just improved a ton and really perfected his style.

I dunno, I don't see it but it isn't for 3 months so a lot of time to hear alternative views

Cruz is good value but he is gonna have to take him down to get it done
Cruz striking offense is pretty terrible now that more elite competition is here and Cruz can't just rely on defensive fighting or trade with a Vera
Vera has good leg kicks so Cruz can't dance around to a victory I don't think

Edwards 9-1 decision is very live imo...Usman hasn't used his wrestling in years, his chin has gotten touched in 3 of his last 5 fights, Edwards TDD has come a long way last 5-6 years. Definitely think he is live to win a close decision. Not much of an Edwards fan, but stylistically I do think he can present challenges for Usman if the wrestling/clinch work gets neutralized.

Wrestling is 1 of the skillsets most likely to atrophy as time goes on and Usman has had knee problems for awhile.

At those odds it could be a good bet but imo not happening
If it goes the distance likely it is Usman grinding it out with lots of wrestling which means he get the decision.
Back and neck problems are the real issue for wrestlers unless the knee isn't truly fully recovered which means it could lead to an injury and a finish in the fight
Over the long haul it is neck and back issues for wrestlers I think
Usman hasn't used his wrestling largely because of two fights against colby and the fight with Burns
He had no advantage with Colby and Burns was also a threat
He controlled Masvidal in the first fight with grappling and in the second a fast KO so not as needed
He also dominated Woodley with wrestling.

I think Edwards is very capable of grinding out a 3-2 decision in they eyes of the fans/media, but actually getting that result from the judges might prove a bit less likely.

It’s difficult to look good against Edwards, but he typically doesn’t look great when he’s winning either, unless the caliber of opponent is a notch or two below.

Edwards seems to lack the aggression/game plan needed to dethrone Usman. He sits back way too often and tries to accumulate points, which is fine normally, but that approach won’t work against Usman, IMO.

I think he would need two dominant rounds and an otherwise close fight to take the belt via decision. If it’s close, even 3-2 Edwards in most eyes, they’ll give it to Usman.

I expect Usman to try and coast through this fight grabbing a comfortable 3-2, 4-1 type of decision that likely isn’t very entertaining, especially with them all but announcing he likely faces Chimaev for the belt in DEC/JAN/FEB assuming both win, which they should, and avoid injury.

Setup reminds me of Reyes/Jones kinda, I had Reyes by decision in that too

He probably won 3/5 rds but he faded late and they weren't taking the belt from a longtime champ for that shit

Still 9/1 is a bit long, I'd make it more like 5/1ish

Sick ending
Appropriately named Rocky
Took a beating most of the fight and finished
Usman will get an immediate rematch as that was his first loss ...they are 1-1 and he was winning that fight.
Nice set up too a bit Vera did to Cruz

DC, Rogan and Din Thomas gotta eat those words

This is just fucked up. I dont want to see another Usman vs Edwards fight , if it happens Usman will be anchoring my parlays. I really wanted to see Khamzat Chimaev 1st take out Nate Diaz, not that I'm not a Nate Diaz fan, but he talks more then he fights now, and then see Chimaev fight for the title. The Usman vs Edwards rematch will put that off by at least 6 monthes. If Chimaev does not want to wait, does that leave us with a Khamzat
vs Colby Covington fight ? I would rather pay for that then see Usman vs Edwards again.

yeah I think UFC should be a bit careful with the rematch, Usman clearly deserves it and I think putting it in the UK is fine, but Wembley stadium? Not sure it is worthy of that spectacle. That fight was very close to being a dud until Edwards kicked Usman's head out of his body. That doesn't happen and you are looking at a lot of wrestling/top control and a 49-46 fairly non-competitive UD.

Perhaps the lack of altitude could help Edwards in the rematch though
