There is more there in the article than people see or want to see. Also it is a collective bargaining agreement which runs through 2021. Sorry Large one but in 2015 the men's team made $11.71 million more and in 2014 the men's team brought in $8.31 million more. Yes the recent trend has the women bringing in the same as the men but they are in a CBA from 2017. At that time they had maybe only 2016's revenue to look at. If they can get out of that agreement they might be able to negotiate a better deal. The numbers look good for them. Also your example of Baseball sucks, you really don't know what your talking about. Just look at team payrolls for large market vs small market. That works for European soccer leagues as well. They all get paid from the tv deals but the big clubs bring in more revenue so the spend more. The players don't get paid the same.
