Poor coaching

Couldn't agree more!! Zona had FIVE MINUTES while they were reviewing that call to draw up a play, and they just stood there. If the ball goes to Wisky they lose anyway, should have spent that time drawing up a play better than throwing the ball to your point guard facing away from the basket 25 feet out. Put him in the position to fail with that play. Embarrassing choke for a head coach.

Replay should be used to overturn fairly obvious errors. If it takes more than a couple of minutes and 4 or 5 replays and you're still not sure, stay with the original call and move on.

The right call was made. Regardless it should not be rushed as getting it right trumps the impatience of everyone!

Was just lateral movement.....complete 90 degree angle with the basket. He's allowed to guard.

He's not allowed to bump which he did. Johnson reacted instinctively by pushing him off. In that situation it should have been a no-call.

Go back and watch the replay. Gosser slid at a 90 degree angle, which he is allowed to do. It's not a blocking foul. Like I said, I would have been fine with a no call, but I think the official got it right. When you gain an advantage with contact, it's a foul.

He initiated contact with his chest into Johnson's shoulder. He pushed into him.

That's what I saw too on the TV replay but I haven't seen a replay online. I have been known to see a play at a different angle and change my mind. I'll try to find a replay of the play and will post it here when/if I do.

I do think however it should've been a no call.

Just watched it again. The only contact was the extension of the forearm. It may or may not have been a good call, but it definitely was not a block.

You watched it again and didn't clearly see him bump Johnson on the drive before he extended his arm?

Nobody filled out an NCAA Tournament bracket that had Tony Greene advancing to the Final Four but that didn't keep him from being involved in a pivotal moment in the Elite Eight. Greene, a referee, called a controversial offensive foul in the final seconds of a thrilling overtime clash between No. 1 Arizona and No. 2 Wisconsin in the West regional final.
With Wisconsin clinging to a 64-63 lead in the final seconds of the overtime session, Greene whistled Arizona guard Nick Johnson for a foul as he drove for a potential go-ahead basket. Johnson, Arizona's leading scorer, drove toward the rim and made contact with Wisconsin's Josh Gasser with three seconds remaining. Greene determined that Johnson's push off warranted a whistle.

Arizona would actually regain possession before the final buzzer but would not get off another shot as Wisconsin held on for the win.
"I thought it was a really, really tough call," Arizona coach Sean Miller told reporters after the game when asked about the call. "I'm going to stop there. I've already been fined."
Based on his reaction on Twitter, Michigan forward Jordan Morgan seemed to find the call far more amusing than Miller.

He didn't make the shot, so it really doesn't matter..The big no call I saw was on the inbounds play that led to the big delay-Aaron Gordon was defending the play on the other side on the end line-his feet were clearly on the other side on the line..don't know what the foul would be there

If you want to watch with a closed mind youre more than welcome to, the contact was initiated by the Wisconsin kid, but it should have been a no call

I've seen the replay a hundred times. I had Wisconsin +3.5 and Arizona PK live. I'm not biased or closed minded or a homer or anything else you want to say. It was not a foul on Gosser. Not even close.
