because i dont agree with someone with a clippers avatar, im trying to stir things up? get a clue. its called having an opinion. youre a passionate fan. thats fine. that doesnt make you the authority on clippers basketball. im more than receptive to your opinion. i expect the same from you.
If I remember correctly, you were the same guy that came into my Fresno State thread. I've seen you in other basketball threads trying to counter whatever is said.
You are free to voice your opinion wherever you want just as everyone else is...but that doesn't mean I am forced to respect it. I just fealt like you were saying the opposite of my opinion to get a rise out of me.

he wasnt the only coach to miss on granger. a lot of people had question marks about that kid.
Granger was one example. There were plenty of talented players available with that pick. Dunleavy promised that sorry Russian he would draft him with the Clippers 1st pick after watching him play against scrubs in Russia no better than bad high school players here in the states.
Wilcox is a highly sought after PF with a ton of athleticism and upside.
Maggette will be an All Star wherever he ends up.
The Clippers did a great job of finally putting talent together on the roster. Dunleavy is screwing that up.

i think he deserved the extension. at some point, the onus is on the players to get it done. they have the talent now. you cant keep jettisoning coaches every few years.
What did he do to earn the extension? Traded away Wilcox...drafted a kid that has no business being in the NBA...benched and has tried to trade Maggette for 2 years...
The wins would have come with any coach. The team finally has the talent and experience to compete. Sam Cassell should be earning Dunleavy's salary as he is the best coach on the team.

dunleavy has them playing as a cohesive group more often than not, and thats something you could never say about the clips.
That's hilarious...yea, they are playing great. They played great last season because it was the first time since '93 that we had any talent. You can't say they ever played as a cohesive group? Why? Because they never won? That is because of the talent the franchise had prior to Dunleavy jumping on board with one a loaded roster that had been built from the 3 previous seasons.
We had no depth at the PF/C spot coming in to this season. Wilcox would have been huge. What do we have to show for that brilliant trade he orchestrated?
He is a solid defensive coach. There are plenty of them out there. There are much better offensive coaches and guys that will put their own ego aside and play the players deserving of the minutes. Larry Brown hated Iverson...but he played him. Dunleavy didn't like Wilcox...so he benched him...then he traded him. Dunleavy doesn't like Maggette...so he benched him...and has been trying to trade him for 2 seasons. If that is what you call doing a good job of dealing with egos, we'll just have to agree to disagree.
