So you make 1 or 2 bets a month and buy know all about harness pools and such... Back to my orginal question, Why are you posting about something that may or may not have happened months (years?) ago?

That's right, I do; just as I know all about college football even though I only bet a couple games (out of 60 or 70) every week. And I'm posting about it because if you're going to bridge-jump (which I've never done and probably never will) you're doubly foolish for doing it at the harness track. As for whether this bettor really lost his money or the story is a hoax, that I can't say. But I can say that if it's true the guy's a fool.

Ok, if you think its foolish you should have said so, you just posted a wild story out of nowhere. I think it is much safer to bridge jump on harness, because of positioning and such; though still not anywhere near a good bet. I think most horse players will agree that harness horses are much more consistant, no bounce theory in harness racing, etc. Now i am interesed and will be keeping track of bridgejumping in both sports.

I did say it was foolish, starting with post #5 in this thread and I didn't post a wild story out of anywhere. I didn't start this thread, I responded to the original post.

I was defending the sport, it's a dying game and it's difficult to revive when people just spout off speculation about what they have heard.

You guys are really retarded... So the track risks its license, and lively hood so that they dont lose $1200... Oh i suppose the State run stewards tell the track that in this case it's all right... And The purses for most harness tracks with slots are easily pass any of the bush tracks out there...

I haven't heard the "you guys are really retarded" comeback since 1983. I laughed so hard I almost dropped my Rubik's Cube.

I believe a decent % of Harness Races are fixed. Purses are too low and
horses aren't cheap, they need to fix a race or two to get by.

The only thing Del Mar has over Saratoga is location, near the beach, if they ran the same cards they do now at a location in the middle of nowhere, they would be nothing. 8 races a day, 10K clms, 14K mclms...

I know you east coast guys are always talking shit about
West Coast Racing but please don't describe it falsely.

When does Del Mar have 14 Mdn Clms? Del Mar has no less than
25k mdn clms. Also all the good jockeys are @ Del Mar anyway.

ICauitua, I usually agree with what you say, just not this time.

LV wouldn't book a damn thing at Golden Gate in the early 90's if Ron Hansen was riding in the race.

Ron Hansen was a stiffing motherfvcker. Thats why his ass is dead.

I still think that motherfvcker Russell Baze does some shady
shit, he blows on more 3/5 shots than he should.
