My view is

If the RX recommends a book and I look at the site and do not like it I won't play there.....WE ARE ALL responsible for where we send our money and we all assume the Risk involved in playing anywhere...we are all adults and no one holds a gun to our head to make us post up at XYZ book...I think the forum recommendations need balance meaning if POSTERS and THE RX like the book I think is more powerful then just one or the other... overall I think Shrink deep down wants to help the players first with his skills and id rather have him in my corner if a book stiffs me then no one at all

Just my 2 cents

I like forums. Ken has created a good forum. He has put money into it with software, mods, and even writers. He gets credit for that.

When Mansion goes down I know people will be upset that they got sold out for a buck, but such is life. Ken said no books that weren't solid would be added and then he takes Mansion on. They are in worse shape bookmaking wise than PanAm just with more money hopefully to last a little longer (but the money part is a just a hope, who knows). Ken said we didn't have to worry about escrow because only safe books would be allowed to advertise. That has been completely thrown out the window. Total BS.

Until the RX has high standards for books being added, or adds escrow programs, the players are going to take the worst of it.

Lakerfan do you know something others don't? Unless you are saying mansion is doomed because of their business model. I have heard some of the arguments that they have weak lines, or how can they offer a no juice exchange, or that scalpers will have a picnic etc. Well I can only say go for it if you think they will be so easy to beat. Good luck, wil.

Their line making crew has HUGE EGOs. They think they can do anything they want and will make money. They have questionable financial backing. They have it for now, but just like Panam the backer can pull at anytime.

But the bottom line is what you mention. Their lines aren't sharp. It is not like they can offer such great lines because they are sharp. THEY ARE JUST SLOW. And they offer limits that aren't reasonable.

I have and am betting into them. And getting paid. I just know it extremely risky the longer they continue without making changes. Not saying people shouldn't play with them, but they have to be viewed as high risk. Certainly not the type of safe book Shrink promised.

They take the PanAm formula and do one better on PanAm in terms of line management.

You make it sound like you think their lines are sharp. If by sharp you mean cloing the big boys and then being slow to move their lines setting themselves up against Pin and Oly, then you are right on . :D

I only hear of people winning there! Me too I joined the crew. This book is just too good. Anyhow they have US$20m to lose. BetPanam had only US$0.5m, BUT BetPanam was only for Americans. Mansion is world wide and takes large bets on the European football. Knowing that 100x more is being turned over on the football and Mansion also takes 100x the bet size of BetPanam, then their capital compared to BetPanam is only US$0.2m, so this story may end even before the year 2005! :finger:

Anyone who blames Ken for his recommendation of BetPanAm is coming from ignorance and sour grapes... there was only one step further Ken could have gone in verifying the legitimacy of BetPanAm, the license in Panama, the bond, etc... and that would have been if he could have entered and read into the heart of the backer(s)... which total lack thereof clearly is the only reason why multi millionaires would decide to stiff the players, the staff and everyone who was legitimately involved... Maybe that's why Panama never came on line (significantly) before... the mentaility in Panama was one of Ken's rare mis-handicaps, but many others were fooled too... not just Ken. Ken is an asset.

I appreciate all the feedback, both good and bad. The one common criticism appears to be valid. I understand that gamblers are angry at me when a sports book goes under. All I can say is that I am sorry. I try and run an honest business and when sports books go bad, it does hurt my reputation.

Although I repeatedly suggest that posters inquire with others before sending money abroad, greed gets in the way, Despite warnings and red flags, some of you will send money to Joe Blow Sports because they offer a 30% sign up bonus.

We do take on some start up books because we have a payroll to meet and if we don't make enough of a profit to pay employees, this website would not be here for you.

There is ALWAYS a risk with new books and gamblers should be extremely cautious with them.

Use this forum wisely because again, I want to stress that the main reason for its success involves the quality of posters, and certainly not me...

Ken has created a forum that has done a great job of exposing Books like Luckys to unaware posters. He was there to help me when Luckys stiffed me for $ 4000. and was threatening to drop by my doorstep and "whack me off ".
Thanks again Ken !
