I question his charcter, but he is a business man, business men make business decisions. Sometimes people get hurt knowingly and unkowningly.

with that said, i have no opinion, i am not sure what he brings. There are good and bad. I know his site brings a lot of good although you have to take what is posted with a grain of salt.

i never play a book NOW because it is an advertiser here, and many others should follow these steps.

do your own research, dont depend on one person, or one source for your decision.

when gambling online we all take risk. blaming others for losing money is not the way to go

Good Website Good Information

People need to take with a grain of salt most of what they read here or elsewhere on the internet.
My question is why WSEX is not listed on the top of page with the other books which "appear" to receive more publicity. Without any doubt, this is the cream of the crop in the sportsbook offshore world in all respects. Ken openly admitted a long time friendship with Jay Cohen and speaks highly of this book. But yet I don't see it at the top of page.

Overall--The RX is a fine source of information for starters and I rate it a 9.
Allways room for improvement, but a definate plus for the players to read!

if u have any doubt about Shrink's character, or the kind of person he is, or whether he feels his accomplishments outweigh his mistakes, that would probably be answered by the fact that this thread is allowed at a site he is in charge of......

You can't go into McDonalds and scream "i love Burger King" all day without being thrown out, and u cant deliver Dominoe's pizza to someone sitting in Pizza Hut....

Yet repeatedly people start threads questioning Shrink, and taking shots, yet they are allowed to stand....

Thats says alot to me....

By the way Roberto, nice article....

Nicely done Roberto...

I don't think I deserve as much credit as some people give me because it's the quality of the posters that we have here on this site which makes this place a must read if you gamble offshore...

bucs, this site censor's more than others. the other day I posted a link to a thread about MANSION in the RX thread about MANSION....

the link I posted was a thread about the same topic (MANSION) at ODG...

more info = better for the readers... right???? well General didnt think so, becauz it was a thread at OGD he deleted me link....

If Burger King & Mcdonalds are side by each & I go into Mcdonalds to meet someone but I have a burger King hat/Shirt & Bag of food with me..... & I sit down to eat with my friends.... NOBODY IS GONNA SAY ANYTHING....

You will get kicked out of Mcdonalds if you are yelling ANYTHING.... But it certainly would have nothing to do with YELLING about burger king....

the analogy you presented is a poor example as those companies do not operate with the same stiff arm tactics that the RX does when it comes to other gambling websites....

The RX in many ways has forgotten what the INTERNET is all about..... sharing information.... The RX is so obsessed with the Monopoly of that information that they do a diservice to their readers.

maybe "yell" was the wrong word.......i didnt mean it as yell being the key part...

and you are wrong, i am a manager of a restuarant, and you ARE NOT going to bring food in from another restaurant and eat in our place.....we are right next door to a Hardee's and it has happened......

We have made it clear that we are not going to allow links to OGD here.....they take pot shots at us daily, and spend their waking hours trying to belittle us and make us look bad.....we are not here to help them try to get people to their site.......

Bucs, don't take offense but, you have to understand that many people feel that employees" of any company are gonna have a bias opinion towards the company they work for...With that said, "I" for one almost never read anything posted by an employee that has anything (posetive or negetive) to do with that company.

Why shouldn't it be? The article concludes that the shrink is, in fact, a great asset to the industry.

In actuality, it would be more like someone going into McDonald's, presenting comparisons between McDonald's and Burger King to the customers that are there, and then concluding that McDonald's is better.

...and to answer the question- who cares? Is shrink in need a confidence boost? It's dumb threads like this that make these forums less and less worth browsing.

Come on people, 99 out of 100 people would do what Ken does. Business is always first, isn't that the American way? I mean if you asked a person that was working for a living what would you rather have, a successful operation or an unparalleled reputation, I can assure you people follow the money.

I personally don't kid myself on this subject. There isn't a single person out there that is a major asset to this industry. The industry is just bigger than that. This is like when a major executive leaves a company and people wonder how the company will survive. As long as he doesn't take hundreds of talented people with him, there won't be much change. And Ken just made that point, it isn't he alone that makes this site the main gathering point for the industry, it is the people that come here who do.

I try to be grateful to everyone who produces products or services which I enjoy. Of course making a purchase is the only gratitude necessary and is all that is expected, but I still prefer to be on the customer side of the counter. Maybe it's laziness or selfishness I don't know, but I prefer to be served than to serve.

Thank you SHRINK for serving us with your servers and letting me enjoy being the lazy bum that I am!! :aktion033 (need to bring back the bowdown emoticon)

You could argue both sides of the equation but for me the time he fervently vouched for Panam is almost enough to turn my stomach and make me forget all the times he's helped players with book disputes. As other's have said, due diligence and common sense will serve you well.

Respect--One of the Very few that I give to is Jay Cohen. He stood up to Big Brother and shed light in a most positive away about the industry. WSEX remain even today a class outfit.

Suggestion: Have Jay write a column one day a week or so. He knows the industry as well as the Shrink (IMO).

We need to balance trust with being successfull! That's one reason many of the world's terrorist dislike the USA!

a successful operation and a solid reputation go hand in hand........

lack of character, lack of respect, dishonest, disloyal...ect..ect...do not make a successful business............

WILD BILL makes it sound like everybody will sell a piece of thier ass for money..........

the people that "followed the money" are some of the same people who stole your money at panam, and other failed books.........yep they followed your money right out the door......

SHRINK has to understand that when he vouches for a book or gives an opinion on the gambling industry...........he needs to know that there are people who will go with his recommendations......and when he bashes a book.....there are people who jump on the bandwagon....just because he says so...

i dont envy Shrink at all.......dam if you do dam if you dont...is what he is up against....

just remember that your actions do have ramifications on the offshore industry......good or bad......

Something we all should remember is that forum posters and lurkers are only a small percentage of the offshore betting world. While Shrink's commentary may have some ramifications on forum gamblers (for lack of a better term) he has no effect on the majority of others who do not visit these sites. You can sit in a major sportsbook for weeks talking to hundreds of players everyday as you write their bets and not a single one will say anything about the Rx. or any other forum. That said, imo. it is a fact that there are gamblers who listen to Shrink and it is important for him to use caution when he is issuing any kind or statement, good or bad, about a book. At the risk of sounding modlike - I believe he is aware of that fact. The truth is he has learned from the PanAm fiasco and I beleive that experience has made him that much more cautious recommending books or condeming them for that matter. He has helped countless players over the years and remains ever ready to do so today, he is an asset and in no means a threat to the Offshore World of Gambling.
