When the season started, Belt was playing first base and Huff was playing right field, horribly I might add. He is too slow and can't cover that big right field at AT&T Park. Doubt he gets put it the outfield, particularly with Scherholtz, Torres, Ross and Rowand available and hitting. Huff was signed to a two year $22 million dollar contract but he understands that Belt is the future. He is a team guy. If Bochy asks him to sit, he will and play when asked or pinch hit. Very much like Burrell (currently on the DL).

It will be interesting to see if the Giants make any trades in the next week. With their surplus of stud relievers (which many teams need badly) and outfielders, they might be able to put together some type of deal to get more offensive punch. I agree that Keppinger was a good pickup.

GM Sabean is indicating that getting a catcher and second baseman were his top priorities but hard to find. Definitely don't think they will mess with their relievers. They are good from middle, set up and closer and with the starters make an awesome combination. And their outfielders really aren't good enough for trade. My desire is for Ivan Rodriquez but not sure how they could get him. Sabean won't give away the store. The Giants are on their way to the playoffs with a great complete ptiching staff and their hitting picking up. They just need that experienced leader behind the plate.

BTW, you just saw Romo. The guy throws a "no dot" slider that the hitters can't pick up because they can't see the spin. He could be a closer on a great number of teams.

Yeah Romo is dirty. He just might be their best reliever, even better than Wilson.

Yep! Not sure what's up with Wilson. He was dominant last year. Still very good, but seems most times when he comes in to close a game this year, he either gives up a walk, hit or run. His record is 6-2 I believe and that is because he has blown more saves then usual. Not many more, but just not quite the same.

Wow! Did you see where they were playing Sandoval. The right fielder was playing nearly straight away center.

Congratulations to all the Dodger bettors. Excellent game. Now I have to root for the Brewers to beat the Diamondbacks later tonight so the Giants maintain their 4.5 game lead in the NL West.

dang, the Braves have cost me the last leg of a couple parlays this week.

I honestly think if you bet against the Dodgers outside of Kershaw's starts, you'll bank the 2nd half of the year.
