Plus Spieth is 21 and just a couple years removed from graduating from Jesuit College Preparatory School.

We'd definitely had to factor THAT into any wager on if betting was gonna be going on lol.

Thats where he played College Golf at???

They have a Golf Team?

Jesuit College Preparatory, as in High School. He played one year of college golf at Texas.

During the tournament, no they do not. At practice rounds they do, but I seriously doubt its in the 100k per hole range. Its probably a Nassau at a decent price

They bet during tournies . No doubt about it.

Correct answer.....anyone who thinks they gamble during the tournament has shit for brains.....
Of all people can't believe you would think that.

The caddies also bet the other caddies that his guy will beat the other caddies guys

Jeff Maggert use to bet people every single week.
Mo know they did not make as much money back then but there is no reason to believe it still does not happen.

And the money is not really an issue most of the time.
People don't bet just for money.
They do it for bragging rights

But from what I hear the caddies are the real deginerates of the golf world. When you think about it , it makes sense.

I heard Jimmy Walker bet Dustin Johnson his wife and lost...

I reckon it'd depend upon how fond Jimmy was of his wife at that given moment, whether he chalked it up as a loss.

Even up, the bet? Wife for Wife?

Dustin puttin' up Paulina Gretzky?

You know I respect you highly Chop.

But..... I specified REAL players. Only hardy golf fans even know or care who Mags is. He is kind of a nobody. No majors..... whatever.

I would not call him an unknown. Finished in the top 5 at the masters twice . 3rd in the US open and did very well at the PGA

Also on the Rider Cup team twice.

Hes not Tiger Woods but not unknown either.

Welp, one thing is a fact, Dustin slept with Jimmy's wifey. Along with the substance abuse and sleeping with every other player's wife, it's why DJ had to take some time off from the tour to dry out...sort of speak

I agree that the caddies wager for sure, but with all the money and sponsors around, I doubt you will find any of the top one hundred players wagering during any major tournament......maybe a dinner or two but not for real cash......

You gotta admit though...impressive that the fear the PGA has instilled saw no one blabbing about this to the press...so great. All there is? Rumor, Speculation, Innuendo about a thing that, were it true, would be well known by near all involved with The Tour. And even were it not true would have been talked about to a vastly greater degree by fellow players....than this has.

Nice change of pace from the climate of every other sport where the slightest hint of Scandal is known immediately then rehashed by the media till we're all exhausted of the "story".
